Well, I mostly don't kill people.. But sometimes I like to stalk them. Not a single one, that is mostly too boring. But when I see a group of 2-3 people I start to stalk them, follow them around and try not to get seen. And when I feel like it's the right momment and the right place I take the shot, but only at the guy who seems to be the leader, then I leave. Yea, I failed it a couple of times, but the feeling of being the predator just stalking it's prey.. Damn.. -
Well, I made a little adventure for myself: (I didn't even see this zombie in game, I first saw him right now looking trough my pictures.) I really love the flares. I really missed them! It makes it fun/spooky to visit Green Mountain again!

Ofc, but we're relating to dayz not Arma II. If it was so, then the GM is just a tower, and the deerstands are just deerstands for hunting ( which is still possible since they're placed better for shooting deers than defending. Also, as i remember there werent any hanged people from trees in the game, but only in the early mod, neither were there crashed/destroyed vehicles on the road at GM. Can't remember if the blockade actually was in the game.

I researched alot about GM in the mod but kinda got tired of it since there never came something new. But we all agreed on some things: 1. Patient zero was in Green Mountain Radio Tower. 2. In the mod there were holes filled with bodies (so we agreed they executed the workers there or something like that, there were also people hanging in the trees in the early dayz mod) 3. The radio transmission was easily translated, you can find it on youtube, all locations to the deer stands and something about "Green Mountain have falled. (As we think Green Mountain was their last stand. 4. Green Mountain is fucking cursed, don't go there at night, and don't go up there with a Mountain Dew in mod. But I like that people are starting to research about GM again. I'll keep myself updated.

My number 1 golden rule: Wait it out. You missed him (or did hit him but he survived) and he ran into a house. Don't run into him, wait him out. Same goes for a body. Don't ever rush over to someone you just killed to loot him. Wait it out, as you self said, he may have a buddy to cover him.

Well I've found it pretty useless. When I was running up the stairs in the radio/planetower thing in the NE airfield I got shot 1 time in my back and nothing happened to me, ran up, got shot 1 more time, broke my leg. He ran down to reload, I was fumbling with my gun, he came up again, shot me 2 times and nothing happened to me, I shot him 1 time with my mosin and he was dead. So, got shot 4 times in the range of 2 meters = 1 broken leg and a set of ruined pants. Didn't even start to bleed.

I would rather like for the player to do it himself. Like, you press "J" and then you get a little scrapbook popup where you have a site for kills, days, zombies etc. Where everytime you kill a person, you can draw a line or something like that. So in the end you have a page filled with lines. I don't want it to be when you die. -

Just call this thread for a "Urban Legend" thread while we do the investigations. It's nice doing some new research for once. Couldn't finde more in the mod. Didn't find or even heard about anything in SA before today with the walkies. I for one love this! We should make a in-game with this. -

Okay, this radio transmission have been around since the mod. I have done ALOT of research on it, where we only found the cordinates to deer stands or empty places, and translated the morse code. I NEVER seen anyone mention a SSTV signal. I can't decode that, but if anyone actually proves it's a SSTV signal, you my dear man deserves all the beans in the world! We havn't confirmed it 100% it's in the SA. But either it is, or it will be, that I'm pretty sure on. -

I'm back from Green Mountain and the area provided around Zeleno. Didn't hear anything at all, tried all frequenzes, tried a normal "DayZ DE" server and that "Night time bitches!" server with no luck. Players trolling or something in the game? Who knows, maybe you have to be in a certain area at a certain time to hear it. One thing is for sure, Green Mountain is still creepy as fuck at night! But! I saw this weird thing North of NEAF. (The red dot) Could be the sun or just a bug, but it scared me a bit. (Yes, I turned up my gamma, we were 2 players on that server..) -

I love this, I'm gonna stay at and around Green Mountain for an hour tonight with my walkie turned on. Just to see if anything happens. I researched alot about this in the mod, and it all leads back to Green Mountain! Nice job so far! I'm in! -
I'm 90% sure it's a bug. I often hear a cola open, someone eat or a zombie moan even though there ain't no one there. You can tell it's a bug with the cola, cause you only hear it open and not anyone drink it. It sure as hell gave me a scare from time to time.

Don't count on it, and personaly i don't like the idea. I love the 24 hour cycle. Just wait for the next patches, there will bome 24/7 day and 24/7 night servers again. Then there's no problem finding a day server when you need it.

I would say 1-2 years too. But the only thing we really know about the apocalypse is this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVxXHyE1CJM It's a radio transmission you could hear in the mod if you had a radio. The morse code translated: "We are no longer alive STOP This message will play every hour if operators are no longer responsive STOPMESSAGE Unable to quarantine subject change STOPMESSAGE" It supposedly comes from Green Mountain. And that place is in "ok" condition. So I would say 1-2 years too. -
After a day of running and looting, seeing the sun going down and the moon coming up, it was all worth it.
