Well I meant models like the pot being on the ground with something over it to catch the water vapor, and something that drips into. That is an hour, tops. Placed upon the existing fireplace model.Basically it is two pots and a piece of sheet metal at an angle. But there is alot of vapour loss.

So you either place your tents in too obvious places or hope a player won't have the toolbox? Looks like your problem. I'm ok dying to a sniper if i dun goofed but just because i got thrown to a spawn zone and he happened to overlook it? Fuck that. -

Are you new to ArmA? Most of those are technically difficult due to engine limitations. -

Or you could just respawn until you are content with your starting location. Like most people do. -
Pretty much, but it does make you feel warmer for some time. Enough to GTFO to a building and set up a fire. In an event of a rain, for instance.

Was already proposed earlier today, albeit in a much worse form: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=7866 Having easy choices is not what this game is or should be about. 10 miles is around 16 kilometers fyi.And the map is definitely a square.

Almost as bad as http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=7817 I am pretty sure you can make a mod like this even by yourself and then post it on armaholics or here for anyone who'd like that (not alot of people). Turning off post-processing was my first adjustment.

Excellent idea. Finally there'll be use for smoke and chemlights. I would boobytrap the hell out of a city and watch from a hill how stalkers get overrun after setting them off :3 -
Skins are implemented in the next patch i think. Player chat and redundant server messages are going to be dealt with too.

Noone argues that. The more content there is the more depth it gets. But this doesn't have enough gameplay impact to be looked at in alpha.

Is emulating a noiseless shot that disappears after 1 meter hard? I don't really care for animations - it's an alpha. Or hatchet could be used as a throwable object, but not be consumed - it's already implemented, the animation is long enough to be easily overrun by 3+ zombies and yet we get what we want. -

The same hatchet we get for chopping wood can be used to fight off a zombie. Sometimes when i only have one or two on me i really wish there was a way to deal with them without giving up my position to everyone in a kilometer radius. I'm okay with losing up to 2k blood for that possiblity. -
Ingame map is much more scalable and alt-tabbing is bad for your health.

Infection only lowers your health to 10k or by 2k (not reallt sure as i never got it myself). I manage the pain even with the scarce amount of painkillers but it still is supposed to go away on itself, yes.

The thought behind is that wood is freaking everywhere. It's not NYC.Don't be a fagge for the sake of it. Then gasoline can be used the same way but 20l for a little fire seems excessive.

A 2 meter high wooden log wall offers safety from rifle rounds, what's not to like? I also aim for the solutions that can be implemented shortly, without ravaging the engine.

If there is no gameplay impact it's useless and irrelevant. Most firefights happen far beyond ranges of speech hearing. What the fuck am i reading?

It is not even practical from a player's point of view. Why use an ingame radio when there's TS/Vent/Skype/whatever?

A simple 1m wooden wall section and a 2x2m open high tent can sort this.
