that gpu and max settings = no go. try deleting arma2oa.cfg and your profile from documents/armaII folder. it seems 1.62 have better detection for hardware. Delete your cfg-profile file for arma2oa and launch the game so it can detect-create new cfg files. now inside the ArmA2OA.cfg (at documents/arma 2) set GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; this helps with mouse lag also sometimes helps with fps. set textures highest and all others disabled / low and test your framerate with bechmark (they are at main menu / scenarios). sometimes fps gets worse in some servers.

NW airfield is dangerous even if theres 5 people on server becouse of server hopping douchebags. you check the place, you watch it from a distance, you decide to go in, when you are inside someone spawns behind you and bam. now the NW part of the map have some camps those belongs to other players. If you want to find these camps, you need to know the terrain and it takes time. . I just looted up a tentcity that belongs to someone and got myself a nice nvg and a rangefinder. Also, vehicle hoarders love the NW part of the map to hoarde their stuff so you can blow them all up just dont forget to have yourself a fragnade :D deerstands along the way probably the most dangerous areas. most of the players come to loot and they act with groups. this is an advantage and disadvantage. you need to know where these deerstands exactly and approach with caution all the time - also be ready to kill. ppl around this are of map wont accept friendlies mostly cuz of their gear.

@Rocket I live in turkey and I dont have the best ping - connection. I can play on gb servers (there are no servers available in my country, I tried to set one up but I had no time to do it) with 80 ping most of the time but when I play this mod I play it on which server is available with latest beta, I dont have a regular server.So when I join games, after a succesfull loading, sometimes Im getting kicked (ping too high) and probably after the hotfix im gonna be marked as uber server hopper then probably gonna get banned. Cuz sometimes its hard to find a suitable server. Please tell me how this new system is gonna work or how its gonna tell the difference ? Thanks.

well you should play stalker (first game) if you liked the metro. I wish they copied stalker maps to dayz. would be awesome.

dont get a laptop to game thats all I can tell you. building a desktop will be way cheap and offer better performance / gaming experience.

you may want to upgrade that dualcore to quad thats all I can say. you dont have the best gpu but im sure its enough for armaII needs and your cpu is holding performance back. look for your mobo model number and see if its compatible with a better quadcore amd cpu. amd quads are cheap.

this eastern europe setting is fine but needs bigger factories with underground levels or maybe some caves at wilderness.

google it some, play with your config - settings and you will find your sweet spot.

g17 is the best sidearm. plenty of ammo but limited stopping power BUT headshots are lethal. if you practice with g17, its like primary weapon for close encounters and useful with large clip. if you suck at headshots, you may lean and spray the shit out of your target as well and supression is useful in firefights. especially on 1v2 or 1v3 situations.

If you like AA make sure to set AtoC=0 from your arma2oa.cfg. this should boost your fps.

yeah man you know If I disable vertical sync sometimes I hit those frame rates too but minimum is always the same. My cpu is clocked to stock 3.3ghz as I see no improvement in any game. you hit 30 with that monster cpu, I hit 30 too. some other player hits 30 too with some dualcore.. min fps is the most important and at some scenes theres no way to improve that minimums.. but I just installed 1.62 official (nonbeta) fps seems solid man. I hit 60 for the first time - vehicles and players around :D

this mod doesnt scale well even at top of the line hardware. fps depends on server conditions mostly. I get solid fps while playing arma II oa with highest but things change for everyone while playing dayZ. one of the reason for this is you cant controll scene complexity. in dayz map there are some stuff that you cant disable like grass or some foliage. even with lowest vid settings, some stuff wont be disabled (to keep environment equal for everybody). I have i52500k, hd5850 heavily overclocked, 8gb ram and everything at high Im getting 50 fps max, 40 average. average doesnt change even If I put everything @low on vid options. so average fps for dayz is 45. no one is getting solid 60fps even with gtx 680.

Im playing from 1.5.x.x havent found a single satchel charge once. I have nvg, L85 AWS and all that extremely rare items but not a single satchel charge. I dont think they are legit.

expect 20fps at best. you put all the specs but resolution. Im assuming 1080 and everything is disabled while textures are @normal expect 20fps @1080p. if your native res is something like 1280x720 then you may expect something like 30-40 fps max.

and yeah them hackers totally killing the vibe of this amazing mod but ppl will just hack, play it for 2-3 weeks and go away. believe me. some crysis game will be released or some new title for console = hackers will go away. now its too popular. and dev team is focusing energy to different things not hackers. and thats a good thing if you ask me. hacking sobs will go away, real players and community will unite and stay.

its very popular atm (dayz) and its inevitable to have some sob's in processs.. I remember 100k unique players and now 900k after 2 months. ace I remember seeing first vid of yours. massive hoarding at some NY server I cant recall the name.. anyway, yesterday we were trying to blow some camps at north with a friend of mine. A valley looked just like the camp you guys had at that video and I told my friend about it. "we are close. I know all vehicles are hoarded somewhere near here" few seconds later viola! 10 cars and ural with two quadbikes :D and yeah..man those vids of yours are great, checked out the new kamikaze one. all awesome. subbed already.
