The rush of killing another guy, the anticipation of what loot is on his body. That rush when your in a shoot out and some high tech gear is on the line is amazing, I'm never disappointed when I die when it comes to gear, I see it as easy come easy go its not hard to get geared up now. However I do dread that run along the coast as a fresh spawn.

At night the ghillies with there NVGs and DMRs come out to play. Personally I've not experienced a lot of full night gameplay, like the guy above the servers I play on tend to be full moon, seen as though there private hives. If I'm on a public server I will play in the dark I find it easier to loot in the dark, changing gamma doesn't help me it looks shocking don't know if its my settings or that's just how it is but I can't see shit.

A real bandit patrols the north, A coward sits on the coast. I have killed fresh spawns before, kills I am not proud. If I am providing over watch for a friend or bandit I am teaming with who has fresh spawned I will shoot, the way I see it they could easily pick up arms in the city and therefore my friend is in danger. However I don't sit there waiting for fresh spawns, I make my way back up north. If a survivor chooses to come up north then that's there decision. People who sit on the NWAF for absolute hours are also cowards IMO, yes I know they are stopping potential threats from gearing up with high tech loot, but the fact that people can sit there for hours and hardly move makes me cringe. Sitting there scared to die, i have no problem with dying, congrats to the guy who takes my loot i just respawn and go about my business, Move about come and play.

Once I ran into a fresh spawn he had managed to pick up a makarov where I was still basic, just outside the hospital in cherno, he managed to only injure me/break my legs... At this point I bandaged up, it turns out he wasn't such a bad guy... Like a good lad he managed to get to the hospital get some blood and morphine etc, we ended up playing for a few hours together eventually travelling up to Novy together. All the time I knew what I was going to do I was going to kill the fucker, I'm a bandit eh that's what I do, blood bagging me isn't going to make me forgive you. I saw it as a good opportunity to roll with someone and as a new spawn I wouldn't mind the company, anyway we geared up at Novy when another player arrived he said it was his friend who had been patrolling Novy the whole time. At this point I didn't know what do, within a couple of seconds I got lit up by bullets. Nice little story in the end my plan backfired and what I intended to do to this guy all along they did to me. Couldn't help but laugh at the end of it, I got played major.

Read the entire post you moron, I said I enjoy the aspect of zombies... I also said it is a nuisance at times, there is certain situations where you think 'fucking zombies', but that is the game its DayZ not wasteland. At the start when I was unaware on how to deal with them months ago they were fantastic, now its a case of jumping in the nearest pine tree, running through a building or take them out with a silenced weapon. I cant wait for the more advanced zombies on the SA. But again read my entire post before you comment. KTHXBAI

They become more of a nuisance than an actual threat. Middle of a gun fight and a zombie is wacking me over the back of the head. I love the zombies they are easy to deal with if you avoid apartment buildings etc and they are glitchy as fuck. If I don't want the zombie experience and just fancy some pvp I just hop onto wasteland.

Public servers vehicles are very rare, quite a lot of the functioning ones are stashed up north, the rest are generally blew up. Private hives your chances of finding a vehicle are increased dramatically but so are the chances of running into some highly geared bandits/survivors.

My best kill came on wasteland, base had been totally overrun, me and 2 guys left we managed to rack up 15+ kills between us before the 2 of them being taken out... I had made my way out to the long grass surrounding the base, picked up another kill of a player that had made his way in... at this point im lying down reloading with my dmr when a guy with an m4 comes within 3ft of me sprating me in my back. Im still lying down my legs break I somehow spun round and unloaded about 6 dmr bullets in his chest... I died from another player, but I swear how he didnt kill me was a miracle. Guy started raging in side chat after me taunting him.

Just put in my app on the site spoke to a few of the guys, seem like a friendly bunch... Hopefully get some playtime soon :)

Basically my friends aren't playing a lot of DayZ as they are waiting for the SA, I generally only play on hives currently playing on a decent one but it gets a bit boring lone wolfing it. I also do a bit of recording but I'm probably gonna hold off on that until the SA. Just looking for some casual people to play with, I always play bandit but hold up whenever possible. But yeah I'm happy to join a new hive or if someone wants to jump in the one I'm on ill get your whitelist accepted. I'm 23, Liverpool England so only looking for mature players... Easy application, quality server, had an action packed first day, plenty of vehicles... Highly recommend the server to anybody. Do need to change the time by a couple hours IMO though :)

Gear reset has happened to me twice... Once when a server reset, I aborted next to a flipped arc right before the server restart, logged back in when it was up and running, was pleased to see the atv was the right way up. Looked in my bag but I was a fresh spawn, lost a full Alice pack with mp5 and m14 etc. Second time I switched server due to hackers bothering me while I was sniping in Cherno, (guy just kept appearing with gillie m4 silenced playing music) so yeah I decided to switch server, lost all my gear again cz, Alice full of kit. It is rather annoying when you work hard and lose a bunch of stuff you have played hours for to get, but that is essentially the reason I'm sticking to the same couple of private hives. P.S I'd be even more pissed if I lost nv etc. to it, I'm all for losing gear when I die legitimately its part of the game.

Depends on the situation, I for one don't get a better feeling in dayz that stumbling across somebody in the process of repairing a vehicle stalking them until it is fixed then pulling the trigger. Did this to a couple guys last night who were fixing an off roader, nothing better than letting somebody do the hard work for you.

Small squad of 4 players are looking for a private hive, we are not bandits prefer to play the survival side of the game. Yes I know there is a ton of threads advertising private hives, however personally I have never been on one before a couple of the squad members have. Basically while there offline I'm posting and seeing if anybody can point us in the right direction towards a decent server.

Hi I have managed to fix my problem with windows thanks for all who got involved, greatly appreciated. Now on dayz commander I am having trouble downloading the additional maps, upon the download finishing I'm just getting a red warning symbol. When I hover my cursor it just says download invalid. Dayz commander is up to date I'm running as admin as well as steam as admin. Has anybody encountered this before?

Ive recently installed the combined operations on my new pc, I have also installed dayz commander however when I load up I get a windows crash report, also if I load up arma 2 on steam I get a crash report. Any suggestions ive tried re installing.

Ok ive fixed that problem, I can now load a server again however I get a crash report when I join again, start task manager and operation arrowhead is not responding...
