Well, PvP is one of the key elements DayZ has. Taking out PVP is like taking out weapons in a TDM server. If you get an AS50 on a non-pvp server, what would you do with it? Kill zombies? That's a waste of time.

Yeah I mean like wtf, I go to a smaller village, clear it of zombies and there we go again, Wave 2, shit ton of zombies appear behind me and start killin' -.-

I don't think you are allowed to insult the server, I swear I remember reading that somewhere, might have been for trading I think, dunno. Well, it is their server, their rules I guess. But it is a bit immature to act like that. If they're spawning it in they should leave the bodies, fair game should be a must for the servers. I don't get why they do that, it obviously makes them get less players and they pay for a crappy server with nobody on but them.

I think he meant understanding your surroundings, by orienting yourself using streets, towns, hills and knowing where your aprox. pos. is :| After a while you get used to knowing the places anyways.

If you are using DayZ Commander, go to Settings, Replace original Arma2OA files with Beta files so steam works, that would probably fix it.

There are plenty of other maps(Fallujah, Takistan, Lingor) which are all awesome. Find one which suits your style and stick to it. You can find out how they look by going to www.dayzdb.com/map, then go to Maps or w/e and choose one which you like to see how it looks like :)

I play on a Laptop as well, I get about 30-40 FPS, I'm happy with what I can get, not to mention I only have 4 GB Ram .. :P

My inner bandit tempted me so much to kill someone who wanted to trade with me, but if I do, I would feel guilty(Messed up LOL). It's pretty safe to trade, you find a small server with no one on it and trade. People are often nice.

Slowly, but surely this is becoming TDM. I mean come on, look at this. This is exactly what everyone's talking about, no offence to the OP, but he just KoS'ed a few admins probably because they had better gear(What could be better than an AS50? Nothing for me at least). Don't you think it would've been more appropriate to ask them to surrender, or just shoot the fuel tank a few times so they have to land? Just a couple of ideas. I myself like to shoot the main rotor so they all crash and burn.

Hello, I'm looking for a team. If anyone out there has a team that has at least 5 members which are active. Time zone from GMT + - GMT + 3. Basically from Europe. Lately I've seen people trade so ridiculously that I couldn't imagine it happening anywhere. I've seen people trade AS50's for tents or Jerry cans. Its reasonable if a person really needs Jerry Cans or Tents but man. Jerry cans are common, AS50's are extremely rare and people are giving them out like they're beans. So anyhow I was thinking of a system on how to make trading a bit easier. For example: There are weapons/tools and stuff which are: Common UnCommon Rare Very Rare Extremely Rare AS50 is Extremely Rare Jerry can is common. How about 2 Commons make a rare, 2 rare's make a very rare, 2 very rare's make a extremely rare. So in order for having Jerry cans trade for an AS50 you would need 16 Jerry cans in order to earn anything from that deal. That way we could make the economy system work better. If you want an economical way of the situation, imagine everyone has different values for the euro, someone thinks 1 Euro could get him 50,000 sheep, and someone thinks that half an Euro could get him popcorn. Imagine the fuss that would create. TL;DR New Economy system for trading Common + Common = Uncommon Uncommon + Uncommon = Rare Rare + Rare = Very Rare Very Rare + Very Rare = Extremely Rare Credits go to the DayZ Wikipedia entries which help in deciding what is rare and what isn't.

Are there any of you out there who have been on a server where literally, there's atleast 1 chopper flying around, a couple of people at the nwaf or neaf fighting, people actually doing something rather than just sitting all day in a tree waiting for something. If anyone has any servers like these please do share :D
