Of course, the best moments are when you first join, and explore the forests, towns, villages. Find your first car or first weapon. For me the best moments are actually exploring. I go on a server, find food and water, map and then I go exploring. I don't go to military areas(well, sometimes.) But mostly I run around the forest, because its exciting. Especially on some maps, like Lingor, Taviana, Panthera Island. My top 5. One of the best moments, I remember quite clearly is when I had found a M24 from the airfield, came back to Cherno, found a guy in a ghillie sniping over Cherno. Shot him quick and easy, took his gear. Of course he had killed me later one again when I was climbing down the ladder :P

Just help me out here, is the point of this topic to brag about the AKM or? Because if it is, I like how it 1 shots zombies, I didn't like it before, thought it was crap, now when I found it, it's neat.

You've got to be freaking kidding me. I bought mine for only 40% discount. Heads up guys, this could mean something, I have a feeling that the StandAlone is getting closer, and they are making a final sale :D Although, this happened before Christmas as well. So it could mean scrap. But its nice to think about the SA being closer :D

If this happens in the future, I do expect some kind of refund for the players that worked their asses of finding those guns? AS50's dont spawn around every corner which this topic is basically about. In all my time playing this game I've seen the AS50 legitimate 3-4 times, and the ammo, hell. In my few months of playing I found 2-4 M107 rounds. And per day of playing I travel about 10km. Point being. Some people worked hard to get their hands on them. They are extremely rare(based on the information from the wikipedia.) Not a lot of people have them but a good amount do have them. And you asking to remove 2 weapons that are in the Arma game themselves, is a pretty big deal, considering having to script them out of the game, making them not spawn, and then making every server update so they don't exist. If you have that feel towards such weaponry, I suggest you find a private server that has no AS50's or M107's. I'm not telling you what to do here, but since for now they are not removed from the game, I advise you to find a server which removed them. I hope that fixes it untill they make a final decision on this matter. Also, I do agree, they are extremely powerful, and they are rare and the ammo is rare as well, not to mention that most players die before they reach day 10 of their character. I feel the AS50's or m107's are the kind of reward you get for playing hard and working hard to get them. Also, I saw some of you were complaining on hackers spawning them in, you cannot remove them from the game(Don't quote me on that, I'm not sure but it seems like that's the way how it works.), you can only make them not spawn in the game. Scripters however, can just script themselves some new ones. Making them now even more powerful considering the other players don't have that kind of weapon.. On a side note, I do like the looks of the KVSK, where do you get that weapon? Anyways, that is just my general opinion on the matter(General. Opinion). And I have a feeling that this topic is the same deal as one thing I ran into at a server. A hacker came on, and said, if you want free stuff, say my name and I'll TP to you. Since he was giving free stuff away, nobody went mad on him for being a scripter. Everyone, literally, everyone turned to a suck up in just a second. But when the scripters kill them, they complain about it.(Facepalm). So it's the same issue here, I don't say all of you are like this, but I bet that 5 in 100 people would stop complaining about the AS50's / M107's if they had them, and the game changed into their favour. So that's why my vote is to keep the AS50's, M107's and the KVSK. If not, then at least refund the players who worked hard to get them.

Yeah, when I was looking for tents, out in the "debug" zone, I noticed how a lot of them spawn there. I had a feeling someone was following me or something, really spooky :o

I usually try to make a base, camp or hunt rabbits with my shotgun[ I do have better gear than a shotgun(M14 AIM + AS50) ]

Nowadays being a bandit is anyone who shoots someone on sight only for loot or the pleasure of killing someone and making their day miserable. Usually I thought that a bandit is someone who will destroy your car tires while you are driving, stop you in the middle of the road and rob you, but will let you live out of decency and not being a total buttwipe. That's my definition. Here's the wikipedia definition of Banditry " A bandit is "one who is proscribed or outlawed; hence, a lawless desperate marauder, a brigand: usually applied to members of the organized gangs which infest the mountainous districts of Italy, Sicily, Spain, Greece, and Turkey." In modern usage it may be used as a synonym for gangster, hence the term "one-armed bandit" for gambling machines that can leave the gambler with no money.[1]"

I would go on DayZ Commander, check the servers with 3rd person only, check the hide unofficial ones. And there you will find servers with no hackers, no abusive admins, banditry is a choice and no one can refuse to being shot. Also, in the public hives you don't get shit tons of gear or tons of vehicles. That's the best I can give you. Most people don't have the same taste in servers so finding a perfect one for you won't be easy. I suggest exploring and experimenting.

Oh here we go again with the bitching and moaning. Deal with the fact already that this is a forum, we are allowed to express our opinion, if you think saying your opinion is bitching and moaning, then I tell you to quit your bitching about our opinions. But, since I have the mind to think, I realise now the point you're making. At first I wanted to make this post the same thing I was going to judge you about, but I thought it through, and no. I won't. He's right. We should all stop and think. Why are we judging people for playing PvE? I've come to the realisation that this topic is pointless, because you can't change what a person likes. I'm retiring from this topic now officially. I have come to the realisation that you cannot change what a person likes, or wants. So it is pointless to even discuss about it. If you want to play a game in which you "explore" and "survive" then go play a Forrest Simulator or something like that. I feel like most of you are missing the obvious, the game is made by a game which is an Army Simulator. SHOCKING, isn't it. This game was built and designed for the best and most realistic army simulator. You can't just avoid that. So what will you do on a server with PvE, I don't mean the first few weeks, you explore, you loot and you make a base. Then what. Are you going to go with your newly found AS50 on sniper hill at Elektro and shoot zombies? Shoot your mates? Hunter deer?(Hunting Simulator 2013 everybody.) As well as taking out bandits from the game, you're taking out the horror of walking down the streets of Cherno, nobody is afraid of zombies. You can easily out run them by going up a hill or running down one. The real problem is the bandits. To make it worth both sides here. I'm not saying that DayZ PVP is perfect, but PvE is nothing better. There are the occasional robbers which will, as the name says, rob you. And there are those that kill you on sight. That's a pain in the ass, I should know, I've been murdered a hundred times like that. TL;DR DayZ is based on an Army Simulator, if you take PvP out, then you're taking 65% of the game out. PvP servers also have their downsides, but they are def. a lot better than PvE servers.(My opinion everybody.)

I don't think you should be all helping him like this in public, rather PM him as a lot of bandits can see this, every bandit can see this ..

Or, like Inception( I believe) said, you can go out into the Real Life World and Nature. Spend some quality time with your friends, or if you're younger than 18, study for a better life, start a hobby, then after a while return back to the game and enjoy :)

I would love to spawn sometimes like 2-3 km of Stary Sobor in a forrest. Doesn't matter which direction, it would be nice rather than every time walking 6 km to get some decent loot.

That one time a hacker killed me, at that time I didn't know he was a hacker but I had a suspicion. He was literally crying in chat for me to help him as he was 'surrounded by zombies'. I go down to see where he was and to my surprise nobody there. I then hear a granade flying through the air. But it was weird because 10-20 minutes ago he died. So he then starts laughing as I lost my M24 I walked 30 minutes to get it. I then go to NWAF again, go back to cherno with a new M24, and ask him where he is, he says Cherno and I ask him to be friends. I was climbing the sniper tower in the industrial area of cherno. I ask him where he is, I heard a shot of an sniper, he says it's him, he accidently shot at the fire station as he had his game windowed. I heard it very close to me. I climb up the tower and to my surprise, there he is. Sitting up on the industrial building waiting for me to kill me. I kill him, and to my surprise he had an AS50 with 1 NATO Round. Obviously hacked in since he had nothing else, a coyote backpack(the small one), flashlight, painkiller and bandage. I then hid the body, because at that time I didn't know how strong that sniper is(dammit). His friends was also a hacker, that day I told everyone, he started TPing to me and killing me. So yeah, that's how I dealt with a Bandit/Hacker, he also 10 minutes later became my friend, he told me his friend was a hacker and then I reported him. Case closed :) - All happened on a private hive so it was a waste of time to take the AS50 anyways.. Bandit/Hackers name: Maverick

People should go back to CoD... All they do is get a weapon, camp at one spot and wait for people who actually want to play normally and kill them.

Never, ever try to shoot an M14 AIM or DMR at the NWAF. I wanted to shoot my way out of the small tight barrack, next thing you know I get 100+ zombie kills Jesus Christ -.-.... And not to mention a buttload of them appeared later.

Just a few tips. One, you cannot share vehicles through public servers, they only stay on one, but I suppose one could play on the one with the dirtbike, but then if they had a camp they would loose it. Two. If you're on a private hive you can just about forget about trading with anyone, due to people who actually trade are on public hives. Three. Maps are common and they tend to spawn in supermarkets, quite often, you find at least 1 or 2 maps in a supermarket, if you have luck.
