Ok so...DayZ origins...it's seems to be the most amazing game ever created, you can quite literally build a plane... Is DayZ origins in any way related to the actual official DayZ? Is dayz origins going to get published into the standalone?... I'm just so assbackward on this topic...Someone explain this to a bambi such as myself?

so some guy in cherno was in a apartment, and he had a G17, I walk up to the outside wall in shout "FRRRRRIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEndly, i'm unarmed!" and he replied "Alright, come in!" I could tell by his voice that he wasn't really going to be friendly, but he sounded like the type who waits a while before betraying you, so I went in, and he constantly was pointing at me. So what I do? He had a spare revolver in his backpack, and I had 1 spare mag in mine, so I stole his revolver. Literally, seconds BEFORE I stole his revolver, he started shooting at me. He had NO idea I took the revolver because no sounds were made and no character movements were made, but since he was the worst shot in Cherno, I shot him atleast 3 times in the face with his own revolver. So he starts blurting on sidechat saying I hacked health blah blah blah. But he had bloodbags and a lee enfield so life was juuuust PEACHY. but then zombies happened

Gasoline lanterns? Powered by a match, and the wick burns out after about 23 hours. You can see a road flare from several miles away....a lantern isn't as easily picked out.

yeah yeah yeah everyones crying over the word 'suck' I think lanterns would be a nice alternative to chemlights and flares. A lantern in a house isn't like finding an M4A1 in a barn...alot of people own a lantern. It should be able to light a medium sized room of a house, it could also be put down and used as a signal for a helicopter or something. Don't start saying things like 'It could be a bandit helicopter'...that's not the point. -

In the 2009 icestorm, when I had no power in my Boston home, my gasoline lantern stayed lit for about 20-24 hours before the wick died out. -

Shouldn't you have to have something like a pipe to do so? You can't just magically levitate fuel to come outside of the car like those jackass airbenders on Nick. Maybe a petrol can and a waterhose from a house or...

I made this thread to discuss a few opinions on the differences that are planned on being made. I really like the idea of splints, adds more realism My main issue with the Mod: I get chased by 12 of the same exact zombies So I think in the standalone update, i'll only get chased by about 2 of the same zombie. yay.

Zombie animals just wouldn't really be...well...realistic? I know a zombie apocalypse isn't realistic, but if you have the flu, and you sneeze on a boar, he won't get the flu. i'd say it would be the same with this. -

I also usually play arma, and i'm not sure if they're actual legit nuclear explosions or what but i'll almost every day see some kind of atomic explosion in the distance, and the sidechat appears a bit worried so i'll guess hackers are just exploding targets. Same with DayZ. All we can do is slow them down

Every game you play will face the constant bug of exploiters, griefers, etc etc. There's no permanent solution to these script kiddies. Power is responsibility...
