Haven't gamed in years, but DayZ has come on my radar recently. I upgrade and repair pcs often. Current pc is a water cooled oc'ed 3930K with 6950 2G, 16G of ram, 240 ssd that I plan to push to the extreme, with a large ramdisk and likely a video card upgrade.

+1 for a 120G ssd drive. I've updated munerous older pcs with them and simply move the existing hard drive to storage duty. Massive hardware bang for the buck! AMD is entering the ram market and offers a free, up to 4G ramdisk. Might be worth exploring since you are going with 16G. http://www.zdnet.com/amd-pushes-radeon-branded-ramdisk-7000005604/ A liscenced version is $19 and offers up to 64G of ramdisk. No hands on experience here (yet). I'd also recommend Ccleaner and Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) as a couple of worthwhile programs to keep your pc up to date, and cut down on growing clutter. $0. www.secunia.com http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner I like to run PSI once a week or so, then disable it from loading everytime, using the windows start button, then type in msconfig, then the startup tab, and uncheck the Secunia box. Next time Secunia is run, it will be enabled in msconfig startup.
