Over the next few days I'll be making some changes to the server, mostly for shits and giggles only. There's really no point in me trying to keep it on track any more. I'm starting by making the AI steal vehicles, locked or otherwise. So make sure you take your vehicles to the edge of the map before you log off, but not past the border or it'll get deleted. I'm also going make all vehicles fully re-armed at each restart. The Skal and NE missions will start much sooner after each restart. Vehicles are going to be much much cheaper and more of them, but be warned that the more you buy and use , the laggier the server will get, so if you've finished with hit and want to buy something new, blow the old one up ;) ... I'll even add some tanks and fighter planes in .... DO NOT make any further donations to the server unless you really like the new way its set up , once all past donations are spent I'm letting the server die. Aregeon is settting up a Standalone server so please contact him for details on that. As most of you know I'm planning a life changing journey in 2015, so this has to be my last dayz project and my last web techie project ... Thank you all for your continued support. @BoMo: I agree mate. I refuse to ever pay for the Standalone, as I believe its nothing more than hype and many false promises. The goal of the Standalone has and always has been to make Rocket a shit load of money out of gullible fanboys. You know that I've been saying for nearly 2 years now that all he does is piss off on snowboarding and mountain climbing holidays, then has a nervous breakdown if people push him to hard on some real updates. Now that he has every ones hard earned cash, I hope for his sake that he pulls his socks up and does some actual development work. Or I see his product losing ground very very quickly and one of the other upcoming products taking over, yes there are many games not yet announced (or why else would he have released the game so urgently? I was highly suspicious as you all should be!!). @Aeregon: Hey mate, that's a really kind thing to say and offer to do. I can't thank you enough or express how humbled that makes me feel. I've added you on facebook btw, not sure if you got the invite. I only mention here because for some reason many of my friends aren't getting messages I send them. Must be the universe telling me its time to start closing the tech down already :P

Edit: This is the mod, not the standalone! One of my players just got a global ban: Kicked by BattlEye: Global Ban #253381 He then logs back in 10 minutes later, same GUID and name. No battleye kicks or anything. I ask him what happened and he said that it was a glitch, that he looked it up on line and all he had to do was delete some files from %appdata% and sorted. Is this legit?

You do know that Google and YouTube don't index you any higher for repeating the name DAYZ STANDALONE over and over in every other sentence. I stopped watching after you said "DAYZ Standalone" 3 times in one sentence.. Review it, don't spam it!

Added: You can now refuel/ammo/repair at helipads. Removed: Custom loading screen. Mission file download is much smaller now :)

It's a sad day for me. The standalone is out as a pre-release and I know people are going to be hooked on that for the next month or two, which means they'll just start coming back to the server as I'm retiring from the admin scene. We have 3 options: 1. Someone with scripting experience (who won't need to bug me every 5 minutes) takes it over, keeping the custom scripts with each epoch update. Trust me when I say it's not as easy as you might think! 2. Someone with no scripting experience (who also wont bug me every 5 minutes) takes it over but runs it as a vanilla server. 3. We just let it die in February and over time you'll forget about me, my server and all my awesomeness. Donations run out in February , please do not make any further donations. If there is money left then sure the server will keep running until it runs out, but I'll not be around to update and maintain it. Existing admins may still have access to the tools, but I can't promise the provider wont force vanilla updates on you, which means no custom scripts etc.. Peace..

Yeah, be careful. Every item has an ID and takes up a memory as you know :p Keep in mind also that people with low end pc's with little memory and slow cpu/gpu will suffer the most!

On Steam there's a little blurb about opening it up for modders (in development).... So yes, you'll get to do your heli lifts and self bloodbagging :P

My server is always on the lookout for mature players. We enjoy pvp, doing missions together, all that usual community crap lol. But most importantly, it's a uk based group, but unfortunately we host our server in Germany for financial reasons. Feel free to pop in and say, the details are in my sig. If you can't find it that way search for Unit487 on Commander, we are the listing with bloodbag, AI missions etc.. Not the Dayz.St one :p

Good news, Bad News... Bad News: Towing is now only possible if you buy or borrow a towing truck. See the Epoch Wiki for more information on the towing truck. Good News: We have a swanky new heli lift script, with lift radar and parachute drops for vehicles over a certain height. Helis of different sizes can lift different types of vehicles, so for example a Bell can lift anything up to a motorcycle, a Huey can lift anything up to a car and a Chenook can lift just about anything :) Dropping vehicles from a great height and watching them descend by parachute is awesome. Have fun, but don't take the piss. Oh , talking of which you can also drop vehicles on top of buildings now, apparently. There was comments about not being to lift it off again, but oh well.. You live and learn!

Not buying it. You did all that, even the clean install of Windows and it still doesn't work? Right! You've either fucked up your pc with some dodgy hack, or you're not even trying to follow our advice! Sorry mate, I've been in the IT industry for over 20 years and I know you couldn't have done all that in this short amount of time.

Get the mod. You'll not appreciate the standalone until you've played the mod..

Check your hard drive for errors. Run a registry cleaner like CCleaner.com. Check that your swap file under windows is optomised and not set to custom or something like that. Try running the game with Razor Game Booster (i know, but it's worth a try!). Use the defrage tool available from that ccleaner website, use the built in disk checker. One last thing to check is your router, make sure it's not dropping packets or that the interface isn't faulty. Failing all that, I suggest a complete reboot, a clean install of Windows.

This one is really simple to fix. But you'll need to accept that it's going to take a good few hours depending on your internet speed etc.. 1. Uninstall ARMA completley, that means after un-installing with steam or via the start menu, go into your Program Files folder and locate both Arma OA and Arma folders and delete them. (if you get a message saying this folder/file cant be deleted, may be open by another program blah blah blah, then reboot and try again) 2. Download CCleaner from CCleaner.com and run the registery cleaner tool, run it after each registry clean as it'll find more stuff each time. Do this until it doesn't find any issues. Then reboot your computer. (don't skip the reboot, or else... bad things will happen) 3. Start the install process all over again. If that fails then you might have to run a boot level virus scan. But I've not got the time to explain that at the moment.. So try 1-3 for now and I'm almost 100% certain it'll fix your issues. Good luck
