We've just updated to patch 1.7.5.1 . The refuel script still works but the debug monitor will need testing properly first for errors. When there are no admins present or the server is extremely busy there will be a white listing policy enabled, so please post your GUID along with your in-game username in this thread. It may take up to 24 hours to get added , but we do try to get you listed within an hour. Added zone triggers. The user will now get notified when they enter either the Red, Green or Buffer zones. The red and green overlays have been replaced with Red and Green borders instead, as we had complaints that users couldnt read the map properly. Added a community base Far west of zelonogorsk, if you can find it, you can join us. Please do not touch any vehicles , as these all belong to people who have found them and brought them to the base for safe keeping. Feel free to park yours in the hanger or in the general area. We are not safe from zombies here, there are several dear stands that spawn zombies (and loot) , so be on your guard at all times :) For the time being custom loadouts aren't working , this is due to the latest patch and something to do with Bliss (that I honestly don't understand so I'm leaving it for now). All users will therefore be given a decent loadout at start including NVGs , Rangefinders and a silenced weapon. Hope that's ok! Please see the top post for updates on the new patch and additional information.

Did you ever complete it? I can tell you now that there's nothing working on the web at the moment, all those other projects have either died a terrible death or aren't available for private hosting. I'd love to see how far you got with yours :)

First off, want to start by saying that Dayz.st servers are totally amazing, performance and reliability wise. Outperforming any company I've been with to date. The initial issues have been resolved and it's like they are now at full speed. Thank you to CellKill and Allan for getting things sorted quickly , even though my initial experience with their support team wasn't a pleasant one, they are more than making up for it now. This a good idea? I've basically split the map as you suggested and given the map a very clear RED and GREEN zones marking. Red is PVP and Green is NON PVP ;) That part where it mixes in the middle is the "turn back now or face the music" zone ;)

We have already given the pvp zone idea plenty of thought, unfortunately there's no way of monitoring it effectively. What if a user passes through that area innocently, and gets killed. What if people in the zone wonder out onto the other areas without really paying much attention, or they decide to start shooting people from "within" the pvp zone and claiming ignorane ;) I've ran a dedicated minecraft server before where I did custom loadouts for people, as a favor. But it slowly turned into a full time job while I was online, so without sounding like I don't agree with your statement (because I do) I simply can't do it for free. I will however stop charging, once the money collected reached enough to pay the server off (this has already been discussed with my 2 admins). So I kind of figure that pretty fair on everyone. As for PVP being a big part of the mod. It is now, but when it started out Zeds were a huge part of the mod. If people want to kill other people ingame, then why not play COD , QUAKE or the original ARMA! You'll notice from my description that we don't actually forbid PVP alltogether, but we'd just rather it was less for the douche-kill and more for true survival (i.e I need food, or I'll die, so I'm going to try and take yours)... Not, "oh look , another clueless player just trying to enjoy the zed hunt.. I know, I'll snipe him with my AS50 from this hill I've been camping on for the past 2 days!" lol ;) Cheers for the comments.

Sure, we open the server most evenings and give password access to players who prove themselves for 24/7 access. The IP and Port are below, but please keep in mind that when I'm not on the server I'll be unable to leave it unlocked for quality reasons, I'll be around this evening from about 8pm GMT. 5.63.147.44:3306

Finally gave up trying to contact HFBServers after the last cockup! They have ignored my emails now for more than 48 hours! No answer to my email requesting a refund either and earlier today I kept getting messages from their server saying they were closing my tickets.. lol! Strange really, because at one point they had the head guy on my server live with me (in-game), testing stuff out and palling up to me. He told me that HFBServers are the official host for Battleye, which was impressive, and he did seem to know a lot about servers and dayz. Shame that whatever he fixed , broke ... and his infinite knowledge dried up there.. Anyway, the good news is that I'm now with Dayz.st and so far i'm totally impressed. The few issues I did have were down to me not clicking the right button or trying to do something with the map that needed to be done a certain way. Other than that, flawless set up and so far "touch wood" no other issues.

White listing starts today at 5pm GMT! Only 50 slots available, we stop at 50 ;)

Anyone else with HFBServers having issues with the TCAdmin panel? Since early this morning 7am (GMT) I've been getting script errors and page not found messages when trying to update my config files and white list. One of the things that happened which is a big security issue for me is that the white list just stopped working and refuses to start again. I've emailed them 3 times throughout the day, with no reply yet. If anyone else is with HFB , I'd strongly suggest you check your white list is working .. Glad I had a password on my server as well, or else I'd be looking at some douche damage for sure.. PS, I'm only asking here because I can't get a response from HFB and I've already spent a whole week dealing with their issues. Thought maybe I might not be alone?

What do you think the chances of getting a refund are? Considering I've not had a single day without something going wrong..

Already having major issues again. Just found out my white list isn't working and anybody can join my server, lucky thing I password protected it earlier. Try and start the white list up and I'm getting weird message saying the page I'm trying to access maybe down or no longer available. I've reported this 3 times now but no reply due to them being short staffed. Shame though, because they really appeared to be on top of things yesterday and today, all looks like its gone to ***t! The error is this: I get this error for pretty much any action on the cpanel, its been on and off like this all day.. 12 hours so far! Oh well...

It is whitelisted , forgot to mention that :)

Update: HFBServers have made a u-turn on their initial claim that this is an Arma issue or possibly even something I've done wrong. They have agreed to fix the server, which they said in an email was faulty. So I'm going to give them a second chance based on the fact they were honest with me. I'll give them 2 weeks, if nothing changes then its off for good.

Dayz.st is my next choice, if they weren't $20 more than I can afford right now.

Ironic Update: So, after sending in my cancellation email and request for a refund I turned off my server and left it at that (I waited for it to say offline, so there's no doubt I turned it off properly). An hour later, I pop onto DayZ Commander and see that my server is back online.. Now hows that for irony, when you want it on its always off, and when you want it off, its back on again.. haha!

Dayz.st do seem to be the best option right now, especially with such great feedback from existing customers. They do seem to be low on UK servers all the time though, their tweets and website are always announcing more servers coming soon, but not whenever i check in. Avoid HFBServers. My clan rage quit after I stupidly signed up with this company. The server/service drops out like crazy, we were lucky to get an hours gaming before having to wait for service to resume (often to discover we'd died in a vehicle or lost another heli). My clan are from all over the globe, and each of them complained about ping spikes of upto 400+. When I complained HFB gave me a lecture about how Arma crashes all the time, as though it was a feature. They then said that just because this doesn't happen with other providers, doesn't mean they are wrong.. lol

Actually on the subject of Vilayer, I went ahead and ordered from them. When I found they didn't have the features I needed they promptly offered me a refund. I like companies that treat people with kindness :)

I've not had these issues with other servers and I've been playing for several months now. Maybe I joined HFB at the wrong time of month, but to be honest I think they could probably accept responsibility without trying to pass it onto the client. Hope things get better for you, I've cancelled my account. I've asked for a refund but no answer yet. No point trying to rent another server now as my clan have buggered off, got a message from Kole earlier saying he's teamed up with some clan members on another private hive, and one of my members said "good" when I told him I can't afford dayz.st ! lol.. Well done HFB, you're not only a terrible service provider, but you just bust up my team.

Does anyone at Vilayer ever answer people on their teamspeak server? I've been in there for over an hour and nobody is answering my questions. 4 sales people and no answer. Anyway, maybe you can answer me being that you've got a server with them.. Do they have vehicle spawning control panel features? Cheers.

I've just signed up with this company and so far I'm thoroughly fed up. I've had downtime every day now, sometimes twice or more during the same day. My clan are refusing to use the server because its unreliable, on several separate occasions I've had complaints that clan members have lost air vehicles or died due to the server going offline. You can't play DayZ on a server with this amount of downtime, as regular players will know if you're in a heli and the server goes offline the heli crashes and you die, if you're in a car and the server goes offline you can die when you respawn (it's happened to me before). Right now, I'd recommend dayz.st because they're my next choice if HFBServers don't sort it out!
