Going to be perfectly honest, Chernogorsk is one of the most dangerous places in Chernarus and unfortunately your position puts you smack dab in the middle of it :( There may be someone braver then I, but it's very likely that sending someone into Cherno without backup will only result in another casualty. -

Yeah we met up and everything went smoothly. I gave him a morphine stick and a blood pack in case he ran into trouble again. :) Just remember you'll need a buddy to administer the blood pack. -

The Winchester 1866 is essentially a pump action shotgun except....the Winchester 1866 is actually a rifle IRL. :P We need to get it replaced with a real world pump shotgun. -

Getting shot at with a DMR in the NE airfield around dusk. 4 Rounds, none of them hit but it was possibly the scariest thing ever :D -
I believe this is the way it's designed. If you look at a loot pile, select 'open bag' or whatever it is, you'll switch to your backpack screen. However if you just press 'g' and double click the backpack all you get is the 'backpack items on the left, inventory items on the right' screen. As for picking up a pack I find it helps if you press the middle mouse button while looking away from the pack, and then move over the pack. Seems to jar the menu into giving you the proper list of options.

1.7.1.5 was an amazing patch. I do hope Rocket has dialled it down a few notches and is taking it a bit easier :D Can't burn the candle at both ends forever!

15 days for me. It hurts it really does. Had to put the game down for a while and reflect xD but you get back on the horse, spawn at the coast and start all over. It's kinda find to have next to nothing actually. It makes every building you find with loot a potential gold mine! :D

Like with all the spawn points in the game it largely boils down to luck. Repeated trips would likely yield more loot, but obviously like you said, it's one of the most dangerous places in the game.

Definitely AKM. On the Enfield ammo, one clip of Enfield ammo is what? 10 Rounds? One mag of AKM ammo is 30 rounds. You'd have to carry 3 bag spaces of Enfield ammo for every one AKM mag you find. 2-3 AKM mags should last you a long time unless you go on a zombie killing spree :P

I tend to agree that the increase in zombie bone breaking and the reduction in morphine spawns has made things problematic. -
I'm still friendly, but I'm at the point where if I'm surprised by someone I won't hesitate to fire first and ask questions later. Otherwise I still just steer clear of people I spot at a distance, or if I think someone is in an area I'll avoid the area.

Anyone here ever play Amnesia: The Dark Descent? Excellent game. Probably the scariest experience I've ever had in a video game. Anyway in that title they make great use of the main character's mental health. Various things help calm you down and various things work to drive you off the deep end. As you start to lose it you begin to hallucinate! Now, I personally think it would be an important aspect of survival to keep your wits about you. To that end I would suggest a mental health state to keep up or risk going crazy. Understandably, visual hallucinations might be tricky in ArmA but I don't see why certain audio files couldn't play if you start to lose it. Things like zombie growls, footsteps, distant gun shots etc. The game is already super tense and not being able to tell what's real and what isn't would make for quite an experience! These effects would probably only be found in longer time survivors. New spawns would obviously take a while to experience any mental health issues, but a long string of traumatic events without a break could cause you to suffer poor mental health sooner. Anyway that's my random thought for the evening. Probably not something in the cards for a while, if at all, but might be neat to see!

Patch is great! Had a lot of fun tonight. Zombies are much more interesting and seem quite well balanced. A couple of things to note: - I've noticed a few 'buzzing flies' spots without bodies to go with them. - Zombies seem to re-spawn inside buildings too quickly. - Zombies who spawn inside seem to have trouble responding to you unless you draw them outside. - Ran into the barbwire graphic bug tonight as well. (See: for example of what I mean.) -
