    Graphics Guide for Noobs (Request)

Yeah, pictures help but we need a proper idea of how it runs at those settings in different areas, pictures are a capture of the moment, not a recording, but they will help.
  5. Ok, this is just an idea that came into my mind before. Whilst viewing the Thread "Can I Run It?" i noticed alot of people said can i run it on max/medium/low and so on. But apart from youtube i dont really know what the difference is. The majority of people i watch have it on high because they have proper gaming pcs. This is kinda of a bumber as i havent got mine yet and i plan to which makes my decisions a lot hard so i have a strict budget. This is just a request for someone to make a video the shows the different graphics settings on low to ultra. Maybe even detailing some tips to increase FPS and so on. I know there is a guide with some of this on the forums, but a visual representation of this makes life alot easier. This kind of guide would be good since these are the offical forums for Dayz and can possibly make it an Offical guide to graphics settings and so people get an idea of what they can and cant run. If this is possible, we would need someone who has MAXED their computer out to run it smoothly to get the right settings and so forth. The person who is recording might even be able to list a build that would run at the different settings. Link for an example: http://dayzmod.com/f.../page__st__2080 Just look at the really big post quote from HooWoo. (If there has already been a video on this could someone post the link so I and other forum members can see it) Thanks M4uler367

    Computer has low memory?

It's probably windows 8 then, since it is new. Try and look it up on Google and have a look at the Processes whilst running a program and see if it spikes to a unusally large amount.

    Computer has low memory?

Make sure that nothing else is running in the background that can chew up memory. It may also be an issue with your graphics, what card do you have? EDIT: It may also be an issue with Windows 8 as it is fairly recent, im not sure on the difference bewteen Windows 7 and 8 in software and processes though.
  8. Just wondering where you got this information from. (Please do not assume that I dont believe you, its just i dont want to gte my hopes up) I havn't heard of this anywhere and everyday i check for news on anything about it. Could you paste the link please. M4uler367
  9. At the moment they have not mentioned the required graphics and specs for the standalone game, but everyone is still upgrading higher than average to be sure. I can't answer the second question for your graphics card, im still asking for assistance for mine. Sorry

    Mouse button issue

Check the controls in Arma 2 and see if it colides with anything, sometimes it can happen but i doubt it. Have a look, it might be something with the placement of the battery, its level or just a faulty battery. If its a wired mouse (I have no idea) then re-connect it to a different usb port. Try those, if that doesnt do anything try google.

    Ok I must be insane..

Pollen isn't good for my nose, that isnt good....

    Should I?

Personally, I would wait for the standalone. They said it would be released in December but no one is sure, but there is no point buying Arma 2 and OA when you can wait a while for the standalone game which is dedicated, less glitchy and more stable in almost every section of the game. I would personally wait, this is my advice, however if you feel that you will play Arma 2 and OA then it is your choice. Hope this helps M4uler367

    Suggested Build for Computer

Ok thanks, but that also depends on the shipping price. If it is costly then i dont think i would bother. I will still have a look just to keep my options open. THanks

    Suggested Build for Computer

OK thanks, at the moment my budget is low, I have my birthday and christmas money plus work money to add up. So I if work enough and save from other things it may pile up to about 600 or so. But I could wait a bit, but it is best to purchase the standalone game early for the best discount. But thanks for that. I think the $799 looks great, just to be sure, are they based in Australia? And if so do you know what cities? Thanks again.
  15. Hi At the moment I dont have a computer that could run Dayz, but i plan on getting one for games in general. The highest cpu/gpu intenstive game will be Dayz. So what would be a suggested build for being able to run DayZ. I dont mind playing on Medium to Low Settings as there are other games i have that i can play. What would the build cost and where would i get the pieces from. (I live in Australia, so it will be different fro those around the world) At the moment I have the mouse, keyboard and monitor which cuts out some items. Hopefully the standalone game will require lower specfications. At the moment my budget is fairly high, but I would like to save as much as I can for other things. Thanks M4uler (If you need any more details just let me know)
