I would like to know if we are ever going to get a Zombie Adam Savage (from Mythbusters)... I'm pretty sure we already have a Zombie Jamie...

I like to put a few tents within fairly easy reach of the spawn points. I don't store much in them. Some extra hunting knives, matches, and maybe some extra pistols and ammo. Just the basic necessities for a new spawn. I find that if I can get to one of these tents and pick up a knife and matches, I can stay inland a bit and hunt and scavenge until I am a bit better equipped to show may face in more dangerous areas. Plus, if somebody finds my tent and swipes my gear... It isn't the end of the world.

Be sure to keep a Morphine injector or two on you at all times, to take care of the occasional broken bone. I like to keep some cooked meat with me for healing as well. Be careful what cities you enter. Only go into the larger cities when you absolutely need supplies that you can't find elsewhere.

It only took me a couple of "lives" to learn that you really can't trust anyone. And it's the ones who say they are "friendly" that you have to be most careful around. Right now, I'm playing to survive, so I avoid all other players all of the time. When I have to go into one of the larger cities to get some supply that I need, I find a bit of cover well outside of town and watch for awhile. A long while... Then, dash in. Grab what I need if I can find it quickly. If not, spend only a short while in the city looking, then dash out to watch under cover for awhile again before making another run. If I hear gun fire while in a city, I find a defensive position and sit tight for awhile. Listening. Then when I think it is safe, I make a run for the woods to get clear of the area.

Indefinitely? You would think that if they never expired, you would find old tents all over the place.

I know that once a tent is placed by a player, no other player can move the tent. I also know that any player who finds a tent may loot it, if they wish. My question is this... So, I found a tent... Found a location to set it up. Have been using it to store a few items. What happens if my character gets killed? Does the tent stay in game? Can I return to it with a new character and move it? Will it vanish eventually? If so, how long?

It's matches that I can't find. Got a hunting knife... Got some firewood... Even chased down a chicken and whacked him with my hatchet, so I've got some raw meat... If only I could start a fire...
