When they get CLE fixed, imagine the butthurt that will ensue. I liked the randomness of loot when we got .55 and I hope the devs stick to their guns and force people to "survive" instead of spawn, get a gun and kill or be killed, rinse and repeat. I'm not saying let's all group up and sing campfire songs but you will need to work to find supplies. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy PvP. I dislike the current loot system and the set places you can go to find xxx gun or food. If it was just a bit more difficult to get loot, people may value their lives/gear

I get what you're saying, I do wish making modifications to your weapons/gear had a different feel to it other than drag and drop. I had asked about a month or so back, if there were any plans to incorporate tools(screwdriver, pliers, hacksaw etc) into weapon and gear modification but never recieved a response. I like the animation suggestion, would make it a bit more believable if I saw my character moving his hands instead of just standing there like a slackjawed yokel. Maybe we will get something later on in the development cycle, once the new tech has been implemented and bugs worked out with CLE

So happy to know we will be able mount scopes on other rifles. Any chance we will need tools to perform the acts(like a screwdriver)? Not now I mean but perhaps later in development. Not a big deal, but would be a bit more believable than just drag xxx scope onto your favorite rifle and go.

You weren't alone, I enjoyed .55 and its harsh survival mentality. It forced me to rethink my Dayz play style and how other players reacted to one another. Seeing people work together was nice, still had plenty of PvP but you had to work for it.

Well mate, not all of us are 13 and yes I work 60-70 hours a week plus all of my parenting and husband duties and still manage to find time to put a few hours in Dayz. Don't worry next patch will sort out some of the loot issues and hopefully the butthurt about Dayz no longer being the mindless killing game and actually taking some skill to survive will die down. I'm sorry but I've put somewhere around 20 hours or so into .55, its not the no loot/eating and drinking simulator people make it out to be. If surviving isn't your thing than it maybe good to take some time away. Sure its a bit harder to find loot if you continue to follow the same loot paths you were taking before .55, you won't find much. Take the road less traveled, search the houses that never had loot before, you will be surprised at what you can find

Good useable loot tends to be in some very illogical places in .55 and yes it can be completely hit or miss at times. I usually hit the smaller towns hard and I have not been disappointed one bit, bigger cities still draw a lot of players so I try to avoid them initially but sometimes I will catch an unlucky Cherno or Elektro spawn. I've seen less random killings which baffles me, with gear being at a premium I would assumed it would be worse. Hell if people are hard up for PvP, I suggest getting a bow and some arrows and try it old school. Its a bit more stalker/prey mentality and not just mindless shooting. Its actually kinda fun to hunt if you can't find anything else, sorry I didn't mean to turn this into a PvP discussion

Yeah I'm not sure what people are doing wrong but playing both public and private, full, half full and empty and have found enough food, drink and gear in kamyshovo to go to elektro to try my hand at the shooting fun going on in the city. Granted it was starter gear but I was able to kill 2 others with my sporter .22 and pick up an mp5 with 2 mags and some other gear. I'm not saying its super easy to find loot but if people deviate from their normal loot route just a bit, they might find a bit more.

I'm not sure why people are negative on amd, it all boils down to preference. I've only had problems with core i5 or i7 from Intel as well as nvidia video cards but amd has been rock solid for me. Dayz is a performance killer, I have seen it run like crap on everything from alienware to falcon northwest PCs. Hopefully we can get it optimized soon

You're a bit low on ram, might want to upgrade to DDR3 as well. My performance got a bit better going from 6 gigs of DDR2 to 8 gigs of DDR3. I updated my rig one piece at a time due to being a poor working man, I've since added a new amd 8 core processor and a 4gig R7 240 ati video card. Difference has been night and day. Hope it helps but Dayz isn't optimized fully yet, so only time will tell

I'm not sure where you are looking for food and other gear but I have been finding gear everywhere, even in a 30/40 server I was able to get a good bit of starter gear, food and water bottle. Found a trumpet and .22 rounds and a fire axe all near factory down to solinichny, m65 field jacket and press vest. The thing is nothing spawns where it should, the loot table is out of whack. Your usual spots may have loot and they may not, you just have to look in places you're not used to finding loot

Well, it stands to reason that if you are "healthy" you should be able to fight off a few of bugs. My questions are how long does it take to develop symptoms? And do tetracycline tablets clear it up or will it take several doses to get rid of whatever is ailing you?

Robbing people, torturing, possibly killing after said interactions. Kos is completely different from bandit behavior although some confuse these actions.

I've been trying to test the new diseases/sickness by drinking unpurified pond water and eating uncooked meat, so far I've had no luck. Either zeds get me, players kill me or I die of starvation. I will get more time to test this weekend but so far I'm digging the changes but haven't been able to get solid data on the new toys the dev team gave us to play around with. I am curious about this too, if I get any solid data I will try to post it.

Found 3 more crash sites today after server resets, 2 mi-8 had absolutely nothing, no clothing, no weapons and no ammo but the other crash was the uh1y and it had 2 m4's, a Steyr Aug, 2 20 round mags, a 60 round mag, a red dot optic, an acog sight, SMERSH vest and an fnx45 with a red dot sight. I found the 2 Mi-8 sights at the NWAF, one near tents and the other was on the south end near the ATC tower. The american crash site was near Kamenka and I was the only one on at the time, it was early this morning before I had to go to work. Hopefully they can get the loot distribution set correctly soon, oh this was a private hive non persistent server

Well I'm sure there was a Rasputin Kvass somewhere, it would have done the trick. Also human meat works good with rice, makes a good stirfry. If you had some spices we could make gumbo too

I've only found 2 that can be turned into facemasks, they were black with white spots and red with white spots. I believe there may be 1 or 2 more colors but for the most part the ones with polkadots can be converted.

I met a good group of guys playing on a Taviana server back in the day. I still talk to them every day and we have helped each other out through the good times and the bad. I never really ran with too many clans in the MMO world, too much drama. Ultima Online is the only other game that I had made friends with a complete stranger and ended up being good friends for a long time. Sometimes you just meet people and you end up enjoying their company

I've often found that the Mi-8 sites are more of a craps shoot than anything. I've found several after server restarts without a single piece of loot but then find another with ammo boxes, clothing, pistols and a Steyr Aug or another weapon. I always assumed it has been looted already but then I started to notice this was happening on freshly restarted servers too

I would love to see transport choppers, maybe see UH1Y later on in development. What I really want to see is the single seat mozzies. Even those should be a time and resource sink. I wants my Roflcopter back....

I hit up a chopper crash near Kamenka after I had visited the prison island the other day and found an m4, plenty of attachment, a sight for an fnx45 and a few mags for the m4. This is the first one I've seen since .53 so you aren't alone, also found a SMERSH vest and the m65 field jacket. Gave the m4 and the jacket to a buddy who has a hard on for the m4 and kept the SMERSH vest

Wow I too was unaware you could buy these sorts of things, I understand the farmers in WoW or SWTOR or any other mmo but with this game it would just be silly because you can lose it so easy. I just wish I had the disposable income to piss away like that, not to buy items ingame but just some extra spending cash.With gear being so easy to get, even on private hives. I just don't see the need to buy it, get it the old fashion way it...find it or kill someone for it. Beans to you OP for relieving that hoarder of their stash

I'm running AMD components and after a bit of research and tweaking I get 30-50 fps. Fps will dip if I go into cherno, elektro or zelenogorsk but not by much, I found that turing off shadows and turning down clouds had giving me a bit of a fps boost. Is AMD a bad company? Personally I have had better luck with them over Intel chips and such, it all boils down to personal preference. Dayz isn't fully optimized yet, things will change. Maybe Im just lucky with the parts I am using but I also added a 4gig video card to my system to try and boost performance. So far Dayz is the only game that has had minimal performance boost from adding that card

Well I live in an area where it is cold and snowy, that was one of the main reasons I hated Namalsk. Just couldn't bring myself to play in the snow and then add in the blood suckers and EV storm. I may have to revisit the mod just to get a base knowledge of the map
