Ammo isn't scarce inland but I still have issue finding it on the coast if I'm looking in buildings. I get most of my ammo from police cars, hunting blinds or other vehicles. Like Red_Ensign suggested, I tend to find ammo first then find a weapon just because it works out better for me personally. Canned food and soda is still out there, I have learned to live off the land once I get established but I don't have any troubles finding a few cans of beans and soda to get rid of my hunger and thirst status when I first spawn in, with that being said higher population servers may he picked clean on the coast for food. As for the military stuffs I don't know, the airfield does have loot....its just been redistributed. Jail buildings and ATC towers seem to be hit or miss for me, most of the loot I find there is in the new larger barracks with the blue doors or the rounded military barrack at the north end and then of course the tents on the north end of NWAF. The tents at myshkino have good loot too just be wary as these are still areas people go to pew pew.

Sadly no I haven't found one yet. I was hoping to find one on public but nothing has popped up yet. May have better luck on one of the bigger private shards

Sorry this is a few dayz late but I had found a decent private hive with military zones being PvP zones, had a decent population. Logged in shortly after restart, only 3 people on the server and I was up north between Novo and Severograd and I met another player. I apologized because I was double carrying but assured him I was friendly. We chatted for a moment but my hotkey for direct chat is near the spacebar and I fat fingered the button and raised my gun. Understandably the player freaks out as I try to apologize so I tell him I will just drop both guns. He says OK, I was carrying an SKS and a Steyr Aug and he comments how I must have just left military because of my gear. At this point I start thinking shit, I dropped my guns and he will kill me now for both. I had no magazines for the Aug and only a few rounds for the SKS so I asked if he would like to take the Aug because I needed food and would like to trade. I've never seen another player so happy to get an empty gun but all I asked for was a few things to eat. Thank you to the gentleman whom I met up north for not shooting me for raising my gun and thanks for the rice. I was very close to starving to death. I never got his name but considering there were so few players online I have an idea. I hope you or the person you were going to meet enjoy the Aug and I hope you found some mags for it either at NWAF or a heli crash site. Such is the life of a wandering trader....I know TL;DR

Are you playing on public or private hive? Have you tried to verify your files through steam? The reason I ask is I had the same issues after returning to Dayz after a few month hiatus, reverified my files and reinstalled battle eye and my issues cleared up. May not work for everyone but it did in my situation

Karma, it's a bitch. That was always my experience in the mod, get lucky one minute only to be gunned down an hour or so later. I do miss the old days of the mod, met a lot of good people and had many adventures in chernarus. I might try and get the mod going again and see if it sparks any interest Beans

I am so jelly right now, I wanted to hop into stable and check out the party bus but unfortunately real life and my whacky sleep schedule prevented it. Sounds like one hell of a good time, hope I can catch a party bus another time. Beans to you and keep the bus rollin

I think it would be nice as well, if we get snow, to be able to track animals, zeds other players. That would be a bit tricky to implement I assume but I do agree Chernarus would look lovely with a fresh blanket of snow covering it. True it would add another degree of difficulty to the game if winter survival were added. It would make heat packs more valuable, matches/fire and a base/building to shack up in super important. On the other hand it would bring in more criticism because now another element to the game would make it a bit more challenging for those who either want to just play casually or the hardcore PvP crowd who have no interest in anything else but PvP. Don't get me wrong I want this game to be different than any other game out there but I hope they focus on getting the core things in the game first before they decide to add new stuffs in

I would enjoy the RP aspect of cigarettes(RL smoker myself) but the snow I could do without. Half of the year all I see is snow, its cute and fun for about 10 minutes then its just cold and slippery. Would be funny if it would actually have an effect of the road conditions for driving but personally no snow for me. Snow around here is useful for a few things like smacking someone in the face with a snowball or snow angels and snowmen for the kids but mainly it just fills in the potholes in the roads. Just my 3 cents

I realize it can be turned off and it has been for a long time but it still does happen for me at least. That being said, I do try to play 1pp when I can. Mainly when I run with the few people I trust or when we can find a populated server but it can be challenging to find one.I really hate to beat a dead horse but the immersion of 1pp seems to keep me coming back, with 3pp its just more of casual fun with friends or we run with a few people who absolutely refuse to play 1pp.

I enjoy both 1pp and 3pp, the thing for me is I can only tolerate 1pp so long. It seems to be a combination of screen sway and head bobbing, it makes me physically ill after so long, maybe an hour...2 if I'm lucky. It also boils down to having a choice, if Dayz were 1pp only then you will cut of some of the player base, same goes for 3pp only. I can't say one is better than the other and there are too many strong opinions on this subject much like other aspects of the game that you will never get people to see eye to eye on. No ones opinion is right or wrong, just play the damn game how you want to play
