The Shadow

So we have the Bandits in the game and the Heroes, but is there anyone that doesnt kill everyone but yet doesnt help anyone? I like to see myself as that shadow in the back, the guy that nobody notices but he notices everyone around him, just watching from the side line, stealthily roaming the lands unknown to everyone else. I was just wondering if anyone else likes to play this role too?

Noone else seems to have problems?

Only thing i can think of is the item is hacked in and so when you try to use it the server is detecting that it was hacked. The only camo in the game which is legit is the Ghillie suit, so anything else i suspect will be hacked.

So i know these have already been brought up in the whole light posts in the street topic etc that rocket added then took out, but here is my point of view on generators. I think a really good idea would be to add generators to some random houses on the map cos realistically if a zombie apocalypse happened and the power went out some people are going to have generators. The generators would be a rare spawn. Now these could be broken when found, to repair them you use scrap metal and use fuel to keep them going. Now they maybe dont pose as much advantage to the person who fixes one apart from maybe you can transport them back to your base and use it to light up your base etc. To nerf the idea a little and to make it more fair, to transport the generator you maybe have to do it in parts as you are not going to be able to carry a generator inside your backpack. If you wanted to add more detail you could add small flood lights which have a rare chance of spawning which you can find, repair and take your base and hook up to your base and have these lit up. It would add so much atmospshere into the game like it would if you was watching this situation as a scene from Walking Dead or another zombie film! Although climbing is realistic, i think it would be bad idea due to people spending all their time looking for glitches which are possible to get to from climbing and jumping to ledges etc. I think things like this ruin the game. Climbing should only be implemented inf they can guarantee that their are no possible glitches etc which come with the climb ability

Rocket should add easter eggs in the SA, would be cool to hunt for them when the game comes out!

There is more chance of zombies being real than orcs, goblins and werewolves. There are documents showing that Hitler was researching bring the dead back to life in WW2 and theres even some old black and white videos of dogs heads being brought back to life in labs, whether these are 100% legit is a different matter but still in my eyes "Zombies" are more realistic than any other creatures that were suggested.

To start, if it was me id chuck vista in the bin and get 7 (personal preference) Also upgrading ram may help, if you have space to add more that is.

Just a quick note, if you want to admin a server you need to find a server you enjoy and gain the trust of the admin. Randomly posting on a forum saying you want to admin a server is not going to work.

Well no, if i meant just playing solo, i would have said do you like to play on your own killing bandits and heroes etc. The point of my post was to see if any other people like myself like to play really really stealthy. Sit in bushes for a while just scoping out cities instead of running straight in etc. I was looking to make a nice discussion involving my interests here but i see you just like to come in and dum down the topics.

Problem with people these days is that nobody wants to really immerse themselves into games anymore. They want the best weapons and vehicles straight away with no work.The game is about the journey, take call of duty as an example, the game comes out and within a month people are hacked to the highest level, the fun in the game is working your way up through the ranks etc! (enough of call of duty, this is DAYZ! :P) Where is the fun in spawning in with all the weapons you want, running 10 minutes down to coast to have at your use, at helicopter or jeep? The point of this game is to start with nothing and use the wasteland to survive, roaming the lands scavenging what you can and making the best of it. As many people say this game is meant to be realistic. Say a zombie apocalypse happened in real life, your not gonna get a drop down menu pop up in front of you offering you guns, no your gonna have to search the area finding what you can! I think people really need to take a step back from the computer and really think about what game itself and really immerse your self into the game as if it is real life... ..and trust me, it will be a whole lot more fun! :D

Definitely with you on the having no safe zones. The fun in the game is knowing that no matter where you are on the map, your still in danger. It keeps you on your toes!

I think this game is better off without leveling. Even if it doesnt grant any advantage to being higher level your going to get people who want to be the highest level and so PvP is going to be even higher! Having more pvp takes away the survival aspect of the game because people will be too scared to enter any city cos the game will just turn into a deathmatch game.

Insight to my Usernames- My most used username was "Meckzii" due to in school i was one of the first in my year to hit puberty, and i had facial hair when i was round 14 and everyone said i looked Mexican so people used to called "Mex" and so that sort of grew to "Meckzii" and then i changed to the username of "Hartleh". This is the username i use nowadays. My irl surname is "Hartley". I am from the north of England and with my accent its pronounced "Hartleh" and so thats where that came from. On this forum my name is "The shadow" because i wanted a name which reflected my game play style on DayZ :P Thats it pretty much :D

My advice to you is stick on your own. That way you only have yourself to worry about and nothing else. You can sneak about without worrying that your friend will reveal you or get seen. Im a lone ranger and sometimes it gives a strong advantage.

I think you're just pulling at loose ends here, the game is set in a zombie apocalypse and was always intended to a be a zombie game so why add things like werewolves? its stupid. You want werewolves and other unrealistic creatures go play World of Warcraft...

Its second nature to me nowadays, as stealth is my forte. Any game that you can use stealth in, i will use it aha! I love stealth, being that guy that noone can see but yet he can see everyone else. Its gives you a strong advantage to manipulate certain situations which in others cases could get them killed.

In my personal opinion i think more vehicles will make the game boring. To me having to scavenge the vehicle and the parts for it makes the gameplay! Its more realistic and adds hours more gameplay...

Why not take up going round helping new players, go round healing others, giving them weapons, making their playing experience also a lot better, PLUS you may even get the hero skin (if you have not already got it that is) You could also try to find a server you can stick to and build a base and a small clan, go round killing bandits and like i said helping new players.

Sounds to me like you need to pay more attention to your surroundings.. Always try to stick to cover, analyse the areas before you enter them and dont run across big open areas. A lot of it is common sense but if you play the game how you would in real life and be cautious of areas rather than just running round like a headless chicken, it makes the game a whole lot more fun! :D
