Funny that noones said anything about the fact that the M4A1 HOLO SD doesnt spawn anywhere other than into the hands of a cheater.

I believe the SUV was in when DayZ first got started but was later removed, only way to get it now is to spawn it illegally.

I believe after a recent patch, anyone who dies in a non-legit skin doesnt get saved to prevent hackers ruining peoples days like this en-masse.

MP5: Quieter, can use 9mm pistol clips if your low on main inventory room. AKS-74 Kobra: 2.5x more damage(will use half as much ammo to kill same number of zeds), 3x the effective range, widely available ammo, Kobra sight effective at close and medium ranges.

1) Keep the hell away from bridges and docks. Theyre flipping crazy. 2) Your going too fast. This a vehicle that gets to 60mph offroad in seconds, just because you can go crazy fast, doesnt mean you have to. If your going through woods, dont go over 30 or you'll spend most of your time on your side. 3) If you flip it, DO NOT GET OFF. You can always get it back on its wheels if you are patient. Turn the wheels so the front of the front ones are pointing up to the sky (back of the wheels towards the ground), now hold that direction and reverse. You should start moving in a very slow circle on the ground and eventually your tires will grip and right the vehicle.

Bad idea. I like the current system. With what your proposing, 1 tin o beans, a pepsi and an hour of sitting in a bush would get you back to full health. This completely removes the "survival" aspect of the game, you need to get out there and hunt something down if you want to survive, which is far more enjoyable than hiding while waiting on your shields to rech-, errr, I mean health to regenerate. Finding an animal for meat is easy if you know where to look, which is practically anywhere that isnt a city. There is a ton of farmland and open fields in Chernarus and boars are everywhere in the woods. Early on, before you have all the tools to cook your own food, you should be staying out of major trouble and being sneaky, so that beans are enough to keep you on your feet. I went hatchet-happy and killed 50 zeds before I got another weapon worth using and got by on sweet zombie beans.

He meant that you should have been leading the target a little when the heli was moving, looked like a lot of your fire was gonna miss by the time the bullet got up that high. Definately got a lot of shots on while it was sitting still though.

Double click on the bag in your inventory, or select it and hit "Open Bag". The 12 and 8 slots you are refering to are just the items on your person (in pockets, pouches etc). Sounds like youve basically been playing without a backpack at all.

The answer was "stop being so goddamn lazy". The ARMA patch messed with the damage, it was not the DayZ teams doing.

Hatchet FTW. Also, all that trash your probably finding instead of guns (cans, whisky bottles) can be thrown to distract the zeds and draw them away from your target building. Pick some up, press "F" till you see "Throw" up the top right and get chucking.

The "weapons.cfg" popup happens to everybody, theres another one about combat glasses too. Just ignore em, it doesnt mean anything. Hackers are fairly commonplace at the moment. As this is a mod, Battleye support is a little limited and with a rapidly growing playerbase of over 700,000, playing whack-a-mole banning the IP addresses of these douchebags is far from efficient, its still good that you reported the incedent though. As anyone else here will tell you, just dont get too attatched to your gear, thats just the way life is in Chernarus.

No additional mechanic would be required to stop the respawn, provided you had enough players you could just keep em spread out across the town and thier proximity to the buildings should do the trick. Although there is the chance that the zeds will just spawn 50m away on the other side of the building, now that I think about it. IF this is the kinda thing your after, Ive seen a few vids of people playing other ARMA mods, lots more zeds, no respawns, continual progression through an area as a team, towards an objective location to resupply.

Actually, I think this might be legit. I heard a while back that military UAZ sometimes spawn with military ammo inside em, much in the same way that an ATV will spawn with survival tools like a hatchet and tent.

An ATV can hold 2 backpacks, 10 weapons and 50 items, which are pretty much everything that isnt a backpack or a weapon. Most importantly, vehicle parts are included in this and therefore only take up one slot inside a vehicle instead of the 2-6 slots that they would take up in your backpack or inventory.

Unconciousness allows for some middleground between being alive and healthy and just plain dead. Rescuing a downed teammate is one of the best gameplay experiences you can have here that doesnt involve polishing your e-peen by killing others.

Run away from the hill with no trees, if theres no trees anywhere around there and you can see a line on the ground where the long grass stops growing, your at the edge of the map. Not the edge of the game, that barren no-mans land where theres only animals every so often goes on for quite a while, but if you can see trees thats a good start. If you have a watch, early in the day the sun is eastish, later and it should be westish. At night try to find the big dipper/great bear/the plough constelation in the sky, the short end of the rectangle away from the long part should point up towards the very bright Polaris, the north star.

Nice in theory, but easily exploitable. A bandit who heals his bandit buddies is still a bandit and could be used to lure unsuspecting players back to those said buddies to get slaughtered with no ill effects for the evil medic. Would really like for there to be some rewards for someone going out of thier way to be a good person in this hellhole, but the mechanics of trying to decipher good actions from bad are just too complicated.

Think you can only get ammo for it from heli crash sites and barracks, but if you find an ammo crate at either of those, you should find 10 mags for it. The ranging guide in the scope itself can be a very powerful tool outside of a regular server (ie, one without scrollwheel ranging).

Should have used your shotgun to transmute your shells into beans by passing them through some zeds, thats what I always do when Ive forgotten to pack some lunch. Been fiddling around with all these tips trying to get a smooth enough FPS to shoot propperly, but I think ive actually lowered it. Cant remember what combination I had to begin with either, but at least the games lookin twice as nice now. Heard that messing with the number of prerendered frames can greatly increase FPS. Time for more tinkering.

Sound really is a big deal. As said above, winning in PvP usually comes down to whoever sees the other first. If you go ringing the dinner bell, it aint just zeds that are gonna come running, every player within a mile is gonna get a good fix on your location. Unless Im in a hot zone, I have difficulty choosing an enfield over an axe, but if your smart you'll have time to switch back to the axe for zeds.

I once crawled from Msta to the Berezino hospital, took friggin aaaaages. Keep an eye out for deerstands as you go, the probablity is low, but there is a chance that there will be a medical spawn there instead of a millitary one and that often provides a morphine injector.
