You do realize minimum requirements are just that? The bare minimum for the game to run. Not a stable 30fps, not 20, 10 if lucky. You are stressing the CPU to it's limit. Laptops like yours are not designed to run games well.

To get ShadowPlay working I had to add the -winxp launch option on DayZ in Steam which made it very unstable. Alt-tabbing and recording crashed the game. I am using DxTory now and keep a solid 30-40fps (rec 30fps) with a similar system to yours (i5 2500k OC'd to 4GHz, GTX 670, 8GB ram, recording to a Samsung HDD 7200rpm). Plus as you said DxTory records multiple SEPARATE audio channels so you can edit them individually.

I have found numerous map pieces but couldn't figure out how to use them. Had it in my hands, But it was folded. Didn't think to press space to hold it up. Is that the trick?

I don't want to hear someones music/living room chatter in the game, and having to mute all 60 (possibly 150 later on?) players to find out who it is.

Clothes/gear already protects you. Hair and beard should grow as you character survives longer. It's not implemented yet. Rocket talked about it in the dec 13th stream iirc

I had this issue when ALT-Tabbing, turning off Nvidia ShadowPlay fixed it. -

I just found one of these and a friend of mine was frantically looking for antibiotics the other day for his sickness. Said he would log out and wait until one of found some so I'm assuming it's safe to use this on him? -

I found one on Green Mountain yesterday. Ran north in search for food in the nearby town when someone popped up in the middle of the field in front of me. I was zooming in on the buildings with a gun on my back so he had the drop on me. Said hi and he shot me. Was it you?

Abundance of weapons versus abundance of ammunition

Balota army tents are a goldmine for ammo. They are nearly invisible in the grass but if you open the inventory tab and walk around once per side once in the middle you can find lots of hidden loot. I currently have 4 magazines for the M4, carrying 150 bullets (2x30rnd, 40rnd, 30rnd, 20rnd) and I have looted the military base north of Kamenka, Balota barracks and tents (was in ACT taking heavy fire without a weapon, managed to run taking a shot in the leg), and south barracks at NWAF. Haven't fired a single shot yet. Was lucky with NW as we had a server restart a few hundred meters away. Other times have not been so lucky. Early bird and so on, eh? -
I did both solutions suggested here and got it working, but the game gets too unstable. Was able to record a shadow but it crashed DayZ. Using DxTory for now, suggest you all do the same.

This isn't a single player campaign. If he's too scared of confronting other players then stick to the woods, not a high traffic area such as barracks. Logging is not the way to handle a simple conversation. It might turn ugly but so what? We all die, it's inevitable. This being in early alpha where you're bound to lose all progress every couple days or so no matter what you do makes it even worse

I was looking for basic supplies, food, drinks, a map etc riding on a motorcycle I had found in Dubrovka. Was passing through a random town, didn't see any lootable buildings so I kept going. Wasn't keeping my eyes on the road ahead and nearly hit an oncoming Humvee. About 10s later I fall off the bike dead. Was it lag? Was I shot? I might have looked suspicious with the camo clothing and an M240 strapped on my back riding like a badass so if someone did hit me, well played sir. All I wanted was some beans :|

I just murdered 5 people with a Revolver (some ezmode pvp server) and got killed couple times. Aim for the head
