Strongly agree! I actually think there is effective and frequent updating/patching/fixing/tweaking. I'm very impressed by how fast they react and communicate to the audience. Patches like this take dome some nasty stuff and just some minor annoyances. Great stuff, keep it up! -

Hello people, Today I played on FR 130 with the name 'Yolo Zwerver' I was near Berezino and saw a player by the name 'Edict'. I shot him because he came awfully close to me and he combat logged instantly. 2 minutes later he relogged and I shot him again, he combat logged again as well. A few minutes later I suddenly got shot in the back by a player named 'Edict'. He combat logged so often that he got a rollback and he killed me. This is just plain boring, ban this player for combat logging. -

Hello people, Some friends and me personally love playing taviana.com 2.0 so we decided to start up our own server. We picked Vilayer as host since we love playing on Vilayer hosted servers and the service they provide is excellent. We just started out, we are trying to play on the server as much as we can ourselves to attract a base of players. Some information about the server: - 300+ Vehicles, all spawn in fully fixed and fueled. - Server restart ever 5 hours - Active admins - Standard DayZ weapons enabled (including AS50, M107 and the likes) - No custom buildings, vehicles or gear. - No overpowered spawn gear - We are no carebears, PvP will be completely tolerated, excessive spawnkilling will not be tolerated though. - Server difficulty: Regular - CH:ON, 3D:ON, NameTags:ON Server IP: 37.59.208.20:2302 - But we are easy to find in DayZCommander by typing Semag in the search bar. As you can see above we try to keep the gameplay on our server as natural as possible to maintain the original DayZ atmosphere. Currently we have 5 active admins: Petertjuh360, FugDup, Taartman, Dutchy and Circuleer. We are running BattleEye and Gotcha-Antihack on our server and will check the logs repeatedly to minimize the amount of hackers on the server. I hope I provided you guys with enough information, questions can be asked over here, and I hope to see a lot of you on our server soon. AS50 + M14 in the most ideal situation. Otherwise M24 + M14. M14 is my best close-mid range gun. AS50 is always nice because of the 1 shot kill. M24 is also a f*cking easy gun to use and headshot with so that would also be ok. -

Zombies are indeed fucking annoying and so incredibly glitched in any possible way. Anyway this patch certainly won't stop you from getting geared in 15 minutes anyway. I'm actually chuckling when I'm thinking of the glitchy way the zombies are going to hit you in cars and pull you from them. Because obviously it adds a whole new dimention in which zombies can glitch the shit out of you. -

Give the server a choice, there is a reason that a really large group of players is playing on regular servers with CH:ON. Would be a bummer if you took it away from them. -

I think your bandit skin is set for all 3 profiles then. I'm pretty sure whenever I switch name in-game I have the same items on my character. I guess it's CD-Key bound. -

Great questions, getting more hyped for the standalone every day. 150 is reasonable I guess, since there are more locations inland, there is more interest in going there and players will spread. I hope.. -

I might have missed it, but I'm not sure so that's why I ask. Since there will be only a main hive, what will they do with people relogging on hotspots? I for one am afraid that there will be loads of people relogging to all servers to loot NWAF. I'm eager to know what they will do with that. -
Also, try using DayZCommander to find servers if you aren't already. It also let's you play on other maps and stuff like that. While using DayZCommander and typing Private Hive in the search bar it will make you find servers that are not connected to the main hive and will reduce the chance of being killed by hackers or people that relog on popular spots to check them on every server. Or even better, try to find a server where you need to be whitelisted on, on those servers it's even rarer to get killed by hackers. Have fun, a few weeks of playing and you survive like a pro.

@Mr. Friendly 500 will probably get you a decent PC which can easily run DayZ on mid/high settings (the current mod I mean). If I would buy my old PC again, which ran the mod on Mid without FPS lag, it would cost me maybe 300-400. Wouldn't worry too much, playing on medium settings is also playing :D /offtopicmode off -

From what I understand, it's going to be a smoother engine, which indeed means the game will get less CPU/RAM intensive, which would indeed mean it has lower requirements. It also depends on the budget u want to spend on your PC, I recently bought a pc for high end gaming since my old PC just simly gave up the ghost. I spent 920 euro's and got a PC which can run EVERY game on MAX settings with smooth FPS. -

What rocket said is: The game might look the same but will be completely rewritten under the hood. Which means, it will look about the same but on a different engine. So yes, there is a big fat chance your FPS will improve a lot. -

Oh man, releasing one of the best game concepts in the world escalated to endless whining and a forum struggling to load pages due to the mass of people f5'ing. For both groups there is something to say. What we see is false statements from the developers, meaning the whole 'there will be an announcement but there didn't come one incident.' What we also see is people clinging on to these unrealistic targets that the dev team set. Because, let's be realistic, converting a bare bones alpha bugfest mod to a whole new engine with even some new content within 4 months, come on people, it would be unrealisticly fantastic. Don't get me wrong, props for trying to achieve a goal like that, great ambition, but we shouldn't cling to it too much. I for one think every developer has to go for a 'when it's done' approach, it prevents stuff like this from happening. PS. Dev team you have all my support, great initiative alltogether.
