Hello, Maybe there are still some issues with the ArmA 2 Free installer, i don't know - either the installer becomes unresponsive or the webpage containing the key needed for the installer refuses to load etc etc... How i got around this: Download ArmA 2 Free, or if you have it already that's fine, if not, go here and download >> http://free.arma2.com/activation/ << and sign in with one of the accounts on the left to get your key. Run the ArmA 2 Free installer - if for whatever reason the installer is still not responding or the webpage won't load, disconnnect from the internet and run it again, this will allow the installer to run unhindered by the webpage issue and you should be fine to input your key and complete the installation process. Then you can reconnect to the internet. I did try the ArmA 2 Demo version but striaght off the bat i ran into problems, such as "You cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content...." and "No entry 'bin\config.bin\CfgVehicles\'".... besides a pile of other stuff, i forget, it was a long gruelling battle, once or twice i wavered on the brink of insanity, understandably things are still a little blury... Anyway, i now have Dayz running with ArmA 2 Free (none Steam) and OA (Steam), plus DayZ Commander. Once i followed pretty much the rest of the guide, i had no problems getting straight into DayZ first time.
