What stops you from logging out if you are being robbed?

I don't log off if my opponent gets the upper hand on me. Last night i was passing Balota Airfield and heard gunshots, i though well lets see what poor bastard is getting shot. When i saw a guy with one of the white masks i put up my Mosin and lid him up. (To note i shot geared players with those damn masks, if you wear those there is something wrong with you and i don't trust you one bit) His friends did not like that very much and came after me guns blazing. I ran as fast as i could in a north west direction towards the high apartment buildings north of Cherno. On the way i dropped off my Backpack and some other things to look different so they might not recognize me. I entered one of the buildings and went up the ladder but i was still being followed. So i took of the Long range scope off from my Mosin on the stairs and turned around and shot the Mask wearing guy in the face. He logged off immediately which made his body disappear, (they really need to fix that.) After that i made my way north to resupply. It was a epic encounter and no one Combat logged. Just the after being killed grief logging so they don't get their loot from winning the fight. -

I wouldn't hold my breath. Unless they make a real date and stick to it and it shows up on Steam i am gonna focus on other stuff. Just gotta wait and see. -

Could you rephrase that? i don't know why but somehow i am not able to follow, what you are trying to say with that at all. Not sure if i am reading it wrong or what not. -

I agree. Tactical vests, and camouflaged clothing should not be in as starting equipment. But the normal civilian clothing should be random when you spawn. Also you could spawn with damaged clothes would make it even better, it would urge you to go out and find something fresh. But you don't have to. Would definitely make it interesting at the starting minutes and hours. Like you spawn with Pink pants and a yellow t-shirt and damaged shoes you just go top speed into the next town because you want to find something less colorful and not broken to hide yourself better and continue your journey. -

Well that's good to know, hopefully that won't be final and we get to make a character ourselfs. Even if it is just like the arma 2 or 3 character builder. -

Can any of the Test players of the closed Alpha say something towards the Character creation? Or do you spawn with some randomized character? -

I do hope i get the usual Arma Character customization. I was not pleased at Gamescom that you spawn with a randomized character. I wanna create something that at least looks a bit like myself. -

I am pretty sure that you are very wrong about players staying south of the Map just because there are no Cars and such in the Alpha release. While playing the Mod me and my friends have never used a Car or any other vehicle to get around the whole of the Chernarus Map. A car makes you a huge target for everyone with a sniper rifle or any weapon. Way to loud and your paths are somewhat limited. "Stay on them roads or we'll be slow as a dead cat in deep snow!" -

Really strange that during and after E3 there was so much footage of DayZ But now with Gamescom there is not as much. Hopefully people will upload some more videos when they close their gates! -

There is a option to jump over the knee high fences. That has been shown in one of the First Dev Blog videos. So no worries about them fences. -

I don't mind if they bring it to the consoles. As long as that happens after the Final release of DayZ for the PC. So it won't be watered down to play with a Controller. And my point with quitting all together if they can't bring the alpha was a bit short sighted perhaps? But then again the whole thing about not saying a release date is just annoying. I don't play DayZ anymore since the Mod does nothing new to impress me even with all the new patches that came out since i left the Mod. Or the Mods of the Mod for that matter. So why not tell us a Date you want to release it. So people have something to look forward to. And if a week earlier a major build breaking bug shows up you can just tell people the situation in a detailed manner and say we need another week to make it stable again. Yes people would still complain about, "you said that was the release date for it" blah blah. But the majority of fans would understand. It's just the unknown that is annoying for me. Coming every few days to the Forums and into Steam to see if it all of a Sudden popped up somewhere. -

If it really takes that long for the Alpha and we gotta wait till Jan/Feb, then seriously Rocket might as well quit all together. He was always talking during E3 that they need to get the Alpha out they need our feedback on the stuff they put in. So lets just wait and see what the Gamescon will bring shall we? -
