global banned by battleye? it might have beeen cuz of the latest beta patch. if thats the case, google up their web site and leave a ticket. a friend of mine also got VAC banned for no reason (stupid cause vac is not even supposed to be doing anything in arma) so he had to disabled steam launch and play dayz while offline on steam.

to clear things up hive servers= official dayz servers (on all hive servers u hhave same character) non hive server (aka sanctuary servers) = private servers with local private hives (not official. ur character data is only saved for one precise server, or several servers hosted by same person with ssame hive) if u play on hive servers, ther eis a certain delay between u picking up stuff and hive actually registering that stuff has been added to ur inventory (or simpy called lag), so after picking up stuff, u shud ewait a bit before disconnecting, or u might lose stuff. on non hive servers, its pertty much the same story, but since the private hives are less used by players, i guess the lag is not as obvious. also, beware about switching weapons, always wait a bit before disconnected after picking u pa gun or u might lose it to see a hive server from a non hive server, carefully read the names, everything is usually indicated in the name of the server

400$ for arma is rather low... id at least expect to pay 800 for a decent pc (mind u, only decent, nothing super special)

those were spawned by a hacker. its not very common but it still happens only too much in dayz....

i agree with all uve said except for this: Disorientation/isolation: Some people just come right out and say they don't want this. Starting alone, unarmed, unsure, vulnerable on a beach. Having to find survivors. What kind of sucky game is this! I want to be able to start immediately with my (preferably well armed)pre-arranged friends! This is dayz. if u want to haev preset characters, u can play arma 2 or ACE mod, or w.e other mod but not dayz. having nothing in beginning is core to dayz. it is all about spawning on the shore and finding all the stuff by urself since the zombie apocalypsis "happened suddenly" so to speak.

lol just go to a different server, this server is a sanctuary server, anything u do there doesnt sync with official dayz hive

a friend of mine got not battleye banned, but VAC banned for no reason, which is retarded (he can play with steam disabled though...)

Hello everyone. A friend of mine. got VAC banned for no apparent reason while playing dayz and now cant join any server. upon joining a dayz server, he waits for host, then gets the following message: game not available. mind u, it was not a battleye ban. How is that even possible if Arma 2 doesnt use vac, but uses battleye? Please at least explain, what the hell has happened... :(

maybe this has something to do with the new system of log out/log in data base?

i am 100% sure there was no cheating what so ever, wud that be by any third party program, aka hack, or game hook/cheat/scripting etc. this is a purely wtf moment when u play, log out, try to log back in later, and get the "u got banned" banner and hello to vac ban on record. why on earth would vac even ban dayz players if its battleye's work to do so

so best thing to do is to contact steam support (or VAC)?

L85A2 is actually pretty bad if u want to use it as a sniper rifle (aim unreliable after 300 m mark) Using SD mags makes shots pretty much silent for zombies, but is still heard as a normal shot (non silenced) by players. Myself, ive got M4A1 CCO SD and AS50 in backpack (switching to fn fal pvs 4 at night time - <3 my stock)

yes but instead of only having such posts, they should also include more info on the game development like for example why the 1.7.2.5 is still not out etc
