download DayzCommander it will do everything for u -
30-50 fps in cities, up to 80 fps in more open places 150 fps looking at the sky <3 yes u can run dayz with arma 2 oa bought and the free version of arma 2. i dont think there is a way to detect that u have that configuration, so its "allowed"

u need to install the latest beta patch http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php download the one on top in green unrar, install go to steam/.../ arma 2 op arrowhead/expansion/beta copy arma2oa.exe from there to the following location: .../steam/.../arma 2 operation arrowhead (arma 2 oa main dir) replace the existing file OR google DayzCommander install it update using that program (its very comfy trust me)

if steam version, then u just need to start steam as admin (i had that problem too) - to do so, go right click on steam icon, properties, compatibility tab, and check the box *run this program as administrator* win7 might give u some crap message about instability this might cause, ignore that. -
lul wut try hooking up ur headphones to the front bus (green) on ur pc case, in most cases ur sound card driver will pop up a message saying what is it ure conencting, u choose headphones hope this helps, ur problem is a weird one lolz

didnt i say why? "this will make ur game launch with the latest beta enabled" ur old beta version game might not be able to see the newer servers, so u need to get the up to date beta to work and to do so u need to do what i said -

Lingor servers are mostly hosted by Vilayer, on all servers that say "by vilayer" ure supposed to have same character cause they are all connected to same hive. but there are also servers that are by themselves, so the characters is only saved for that one specific server. -

copy arma2oa.exe from [game dir]/expansion/beta to ur main game directory (replace existing .exe) this will make ur game launch with the latest beta enabled -
might wanna run arma 2 (dayz) with -winxp as one of the launch options which seems to improve performance for multi gpu

i dont recommend anything im just saying ur laptop will run this game with around 20 fps ;) btw dayz standalone will come out in october (as announced), i strongly suggest u wait untill then with current dayz u will be lagging quite a bit, i am not so sure about the requirements of dayz stanadalone though so i wont say anything about that. although im expecting they will optimize the game better read this info http://dayztx.com/dayz-news-standalone-updates/

in steam, go to game library - right click on arma 2 oa - properties - launch options - remove "-mod=@dayz" (if later u want to play dayz ull need to put it back in there. unless u launch ur game thru dayz commander or six launcher) -
not true laptops can run arma 2 just fine if they got good specs u need to provide more info (what is ur cpu) but basing on what uve already said, i think u ll be able to play arma 2 with around 20 fps not very smooth

so true and anyways xbox 360 wont even run this ps3 might pull it off with 20 fps max only due its 7 core cell cpu (7, isnt it?)
