I like the Idea of making Piloting harder and more temaply based but you shouldnt go over the top with it .. to be honest the most Dayz "Pilots" still need 10 Minutes to land on a flat ground and the "good DayZ Pilots" 5 :P -

Harley u hate realism im right ? :D to the post ... 1. I think u mean 3D Scopes ... but there should be more blur so like this: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/blogs/8848/b180-3d-scopes-update.html 3. The bipod should be simply like in Ace mod.

Yea the sniping shouldn't be 100 % realism. I think when we only add a wind effect it would make a big chance to the sniping in DayZ. In vanilla Arma/DayZ only bulletdrop exist. That mean you have to find out the range via Rangefinder or if u smart via the map :P Then you can adjust the scope in 100 Meter steps. If you really got military sniping experience you should maybe contact the devs and ask if they could need help :) But I dont know how much importance the devs for realism have.

Sniping with a spotter sould be min. 70 % easier and quicker. On long ranges you really need one unless u want to wait 10min for a not 100% precise shoot. I think its not possible so add the coriolis effect on this engine. But im not sure

First I know what bulletdrop is. But you never have a exact 800 meters range. You always have some extra range so you have to correct it too especially on a running target ;) so stop try to "correct" me. I think sniping must be powerful in every realistic game but it shouldn't be easy. At the moment is the sniping in Bf 3 harder :D

Ok this harley guy made my day :D You can check the wind with a kestrel or with a less accurate wet finger method (hope u can understand what i mean :-D )in ace. You can also snipe alone and without very much knowedgle about the wind effect on ranges between 300-400 meters. But for higher ranges u NEED a spotter in ace.So there still will be a chance of getting sniped.

haha thanks man :D I hate those people who start beeing a grammar nazi when they run out of arguments. When sniping is more difficult and you need a spotter to be succesful there will be less snipers. So you can add a lite bit more realism and solve the problem of to much "snipers". and btw hackers wont be able to kill you so easy with a sniper when they dont know how to correct wind etc :P

Okay first sorry for any mispelling or any grammaer mistakes. I think you will survive it ;) Yea you can snipe alone in ACE but you are very slow and not very efficient because the wind in ACE change quick so theres a risk to miss hard. The goal from my suggestion is to make sniping harder and more teamplay based. I dont know who ever played the ACE mod here and maybe I described the sniping in ACE wrong in some points so but I hope you guys understand the meaning from this post.

Finally someone who know what hes talking about :P Yea its not sooo easy bit its still easy, if someone snipe 1 hour or less in DayZ he sould able to do it. And thats way to less to be called "skilled sniper" the only challenge is to lead the target right when you snipe moving targets on DayZ. Bulletdrop etc doesnt take very much affect in Dayz if ur zeroed right.

Oh God, its an example .. the range from the most common sniper spots in electro and cherno are 600-800 (sorry if its not the exact range ;) ) So yea in vanilla its not that har to kill a running target on similar ranges and if the first shoot miss you can spawn 10 bullets afterward. woodland you read the post ? I mean in ACE its not easy to snipe alone because of the wind changes etc and you have to do it alone ... but in vanilla i can snipe on 1000 meters alone without problems AND moving targets on similar ranges too. And sorry if i like to see more realsim in a War game SIMULATOR

Hey, My Suggestion is to make Sniping in DayZ more realsitic. Why ? Because everyone is able to kill people between 100-1000m without problems, even if they walking/running. That means that you can kill people for fun easily and thats why everyone laying in Cherno/Electro ALONE and kill everyone. I personaly like PvP in DayZ but I love teamwork too. How to fix that problem ? I don't know very much about coding but my Idea is to use the Sniping system from the ACE mod. I think some people know the ACE mod but not all. So ACE mod is based on teamplay and realism. You can be only succesful as sniper if you have Spotter and some experience (but its not that hard). So that means you cant snipe alone and its hard to hit on 1000 Meters a walking target and you cant spray 10 Bullet if you first shot missed. And you need more than just a sniper rifle to snipe. But you can still snipe alone and just with a sniper rifle but its hard and more luck thank real skill. So what you think about the Suggestion ?
