Suggestion: Zombies wearing random clothes or none at all

Hate to spoil the party but the clothes on zombies are fixed for performance reasons. I think it came up in one of the PAX videos when Dean was answering questions to DayZ fans and one of them asked if they could wear the zombie's clothes. -
This should be implemented. I can just see it now: 'stealth extraction'

I wonder what a 64-bit version of Bohemia's engine utilising all cores on a machine would be capable of. I think it might get pretty close to running something like you proposed so who knows what the future holds :)

Backpack solution for big items?

You could tie a car-tire to your backpack, it would mess with your mobility alot though. As far as the whole engine block goes - I wouldn't be surprised if you can actually fix the broken engine in a car instead of swapping it for a new one. You might still need to find the smaller parts you mentioned but you won't have to lug around an entire engine block anymore. -

It's a nice idea but I don't think it will happen. To model and animate flowing water on the fly and run it in real-time is nearly impossible with everything that's going on in the game. Minecraft is the only game I know of that does it and that only works because it's blocky Minecraft-water. If there's any other games that do this as well, please tell me, I like to learn :D Pre-baking the animation so the engine doesn't need to compute it on the fly might work but still, I'd rather see rivers and such before we can flood stuff.

That's definitely the debug plains. It has something to do with the server timing out I think. I've only met the same fate there as e47 since you spawn about 20 km west of everything. If you decide to make the run, zombies also spawn there so you might try killing them for some extra sodas or beans. -
I'm surprised Xzibit hasn't popped up yet but what's the use of a backpack in a backpack other than carrying it around as a spare one that you can hand out to a buddy should he need it?

Please implement man-size cannons like in Super Mario 64 that can shoot you from town to town. That should keep everybody satisfied until the vehicles are brought back. Or add a rocket-launcher like in Unreal (the singleplayer game), you could launch yourself up by aiming at the ground and firing 6 rockets at the time. Even if nobody listens, I'm totally cereal. It's just....man-bearpig.

I would very much appreciate traditional Eastern European music to be played by the radiostation if it's going to have music.

I don't think you actually need PhysX to animate doors and gates but the activation of the buggers should be made a lot easier. I never really understood why it's so hard in Arma to find those hot-spots, it seems to me they could've made the whole collision-box an activator or something along those lines but maybe I'm stupid. Off-topic: I think I played Penumbra once, it looks very familiar. Maybe I should play it again.

It should be pretty good by the looks of it. Also, I can't shake the feeling that they're holding out on us just so that when it arrives, it's going to feel like the first time again when we log on. -
I was running around in the Armory yesterday. Ran into one of those big barns that has a little concrete ramp and broke my leg running up it. That never happened to me before but I recently installed the SMK-animations so they might be the cause.

If I understand Boneboys correctly, they are in the game itself under Scenarios I think. They're the Benchmark ones.

Why DayZ will fail as a standalone game

I've seen many people call Rocket irresponsible for going to Everest and I'm getting sick of it. Try doing some research to see what goes into such a trip and what kind of investments you have to make to even have a chance at going there. Rocket is NOT on your payroll nor does he owe you anything. If you can not understand why Bohemia has allowed him to go, you have a thing or two to learn about trust, loyalty and friendship. Some things in life are bigger than playing a freaking video-game because as great as DayZ may be, at the end of the day that's just what it is. -

Get up on a roof and just press Caps Lock for fun, don't talk. Any zombie who wanders in your talk-radius will aggro, I noticed this a while ago. I do like the suggestion though, if they can implement it like Gews said it would be kick-ass. -

I believe this happens with certain Arma missions already (different weather), one client would have rain and the other would not but if I understood GessFaust correctly, he meant that the server location would dictate the weather so if you and your friend would log on to the same server, you would have the same weather.

I'm all for weather variety but no need to tie it to real-life locations. I'd feel sorry for those connecting to a server located in Tornado Alley during hurricane season or locations where the weather's basically the same all year round. What I would like to see is dynamic weather affecting the environment. Lightning striking trees or houses, setting them on fire or strong gusts blowing down a dead tree that might take other trees with it. It should happen rarely so that it catches you off-guard when it occurs. Also, there is one hell of a lightning deflector in Chernarus and that's the radio tower at Green Mountain so maybe it should only happen outside a certain radius around that area.
