If you have really played DayZ for a long time now, then you should fully understand that it is, and always has been, a pvp orientated game. Meeting someone you dont know, 7/10 will result in one of you shooting each other because you dont trust them. Why would you trust a stranger ?. There are friendlys out there dont get me wrong. But dayz isnt about making friends. Its about survival. Rushing around shouting "friendly" isnt going to help you survive. If you want to team up with people id suggest making a post here and doing it that way.

Just open your beta file in the arma2OA directory, and you will be able to disable mods in expansions menu.

I do understand completely where your coming from, but without them dayz would just be an average zombie shooter. Choppers are what sets dayz apart from the competition at the minute.

Vilayer releasing this ? By that you mean scribbling out dayz, and writing "by Vilayer" on the loading screen. Panthera on the other hand is a very nice map. It looks awesome while still keeping to the traditions of chernarus style dayz. there are servers up and running right now that perform to perfection. Without having vilayer style attack choppers an MV22's flying all over the place.

You are swapping between private, and official servers. Official ones will be listed in the arma 2 server list, under mission, as "DayZ". Private hives will usually be listed as "DayZ Chernarus".
