Fishing is a definate yes i have thought of this many times while filling my canteens :p Good stuff mate good to see someone having good suggestions backed up with good work :) My suggestion to you would be a riot shield. You can bet they were used in the chaos caused by the infection, on a massive scale. Also if they could work it so you cant be damaged from the front while using one, it would add a whole new dynamic to surviving bandit attacks aswell as zombies :)

Im not 100% on this but i think you get all the multiplayer functions of those 2 expansions with combined ops. Buying them will only gain you the single player campaigns. Again im not 100% so dont shoot me if im wrong :p.

I was running through solnichy and i passed the barn in which i usually check for a hatchet/primary, and what i saw was like the ending to the silent hill movie. Barbed wire EVERYWHERE. Like 20 of them. Not just there either. The school about half a mile north throught the orange tree's was also littered with another 10 atleast. I refuse to beleive all these came from the factory just south. I mean who carried them there ? a team of 10+? I think not. I gatherered that one was in the barn, and was duped many many times. I could be wrong but how else could this happen ?

DayZ isnt ready for that kind of freedom yet. Perhaps in the future they will. But as DayZ is just starting out and is more popular than any other mod before it. I dont blame the developers for holding on to the keys to its success. Plus Rocket did allow a guy (kronkzy i think his name was) to mod dayz into a single player mod. He even gave him direct access to his own personal database. The guy broke the deal he struck with rocket on when his mod of dayz could be released, and had his mod closed down. I dont blame him for doing so either. I mean its like someone walking into ur garden that you spent months making and planting thorn bushes amongst your flowers. You dont want ppl to see that, you want them to see what you did.

My theory is that most of the others have been used for zombie skins, and would be confusing to see a zombie dressed as your buddy. Although another of my suspicions is (because very few of the civilian skins are used) that they are waiting to be implemented in a later patch.

I like the concept but i also have visions of every building in chernarus being full of these things. For the sake of the mod i hope they are a rare item.

If my spawn is in cherno or elektro im geared up in around 10 mins with a primary (in my pack), hatchet, and a pistol and out of there before you can say "friendly in cher.." BANG!!! damn it........

I got this problem and i also found the fix. For me it was getting a new setup and swapping my HDD to the new one and trying to play (my registry files from old windows werent there). I reinstalled and its now fine.

I think its clear what they are getting at when they say their $30 has been burned and they only bought arma 2 for dayz. Blatantly clear. Dont pick a fight with me man im one of the good guys. Just makes me sad that people turn sour the second their "bowl is empty".

I think its quite obvious something has happened, perhaps serious, who knows. For what he has given us so far lets give Rocket the benefit of the doubt and get off his back. He's a top guy and an awesome dev. I mean for all you people wanting refunds know he could have been called to a meeting to discuss the future of the dayz stand-alone project !! If it was up to me id give you all refunds......just to have the satisfaction of knowing the DayZ community was a few selfish pricks less.

Yes you can run dayz with that set up. On low/moderate settings settings without HDR. my friend plays on worse with less ram and gets by ok.

Dunno about you guys but i am sick to the teeth of every building i go in being barb wired off so no one can access the loot, and i mean almost every building. Barbed wire spawn rate needs to be a lot less. People are also using this to farm the "high grade" military camps. Bllocking them selfs in and server hopping to do the same on that server.

So i worked hard at getting my gear. Very hard. I had an m4a3 with many mags, gps and all other tools. 3 blood packs and a tent. I worked my way to the NW airfeild and entered the baracks. Wow does nice stuff spawn there ! some guy runs in with 20+ zeds behind him. No way out for either of us. I started takings zeds out. He shot me twice and disconnected to lose the zeds and be able to take my gear. Knowing full well the zeds would kill him if he fired. All that to be spoiled by ANOTHER CHEAT on eu 40. This happened to me yesterday aswell although then i only had an axe and had just chopped up his mate. DO SOMETHING THAT STOPS CHEATERS LIKE THIS OMFG IT ANNOYS ME SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!! The worst part is theres no way of knowing who it was because kill tags are disabled......enable them so we can name n shame these cheating sob's

Hi guys im a regular survivor in dayz for months now. Got a whole new setup and now i get bad serial on setup error when i load either arma 2 game. Any advice on this would be awesome as it seems BI arent helping anyone with this. bought both from gamers gate digital download. thanks, delta

Well.....great to see the DayZ community being friendly as always :) its a bit of fun that i found on the web. Get over yourselfs, jesus. Il put in a 100,000 bet that those hating didnt even get past the first episode, so they have no clue how funny this actually is. Is there an auto criticisze button on here somewhere that im missing ?

Id love to see this happen but like you say, this would be in the far future. like 10 years atleast id say. The best servers available atm can only hold 50 men atm (i know some have more but they lag out and crash as a result). The reason being is the sheer amount of resources dayz uses. Also the more things that are added, the more resources are used. Here's hoping bill gates picks up dayz and likes it :) Perhaps a map of London as rocket got his inspiration for DayZ from 28 days later, would be doable in the neer future?
