I know you said u tweaked settings but im gonna advise this anyway mate. Drop your HDR option to low and also shadows to low. If you havnt already this will boost performance in a big way for you. Your GPU is well outdated as it was made before Arma 2. Saying that you should be able to run on low settings with 20+. My friend was until recently running on an old dual core, 2gb ram and an integrated gpu !! He had his laggy moments but could on the whole play quight well. Failing this upgrade either your gpu or your whole system depending on your budget. Hope this helps :)

I like the concept ! Although i do see how this could also be exploited. Really hope the devs come up with something using the basis of this idea. Just the thought of naming ppl silly things is making me giggle :p Great idea though mate. Im liking how people are now going into huge detail about their suggestions to avoid being insta flamed. This is the way forward although perhaps in not so many words next time :P P.S. Perhaps add an in game item "note pad" to review and change your notes?

I was looting a cafe/house type building in cherno (one with stairs n rooms upstairs) when a bandit with an axe caught me looting a cz. He chased me room to room swinging wildly. All i could hear was his swings hitting walls and yet i kept missing him with the cz (did NOT wanna stand still lol). Bricking it wasnt the term for this. It was some scary shit. I legged it down the stairs and out into the town. I spun to quick shot him from the hip and missed again. He gave up and headed for the square. Fearing zombies i ran the other way. Then i looked at my debug. I had a murder :S But how ? i looked just down the street and there he was, a dead survivor. The unlucky guy musta got clipped by one of my stray cz shots at the bandit. Sucked to be that guy :(

DayZ is capped at 4000. Go to Devils castle, climb the tower and look around. Then back out and edit a map. Place a player down there and look again. Youl see the difference :)

Has anyone actually ever heard a players heartbeat? maybe im missing something but i can never hear them. Is there some kind of trick to it ?

I play with my buddies all the time and i have never heard it :S Do only bandits have heartbeats lol ? If so i can stop worrying about snipers....as i am already dead :D

Not sure if this is already in effect but the hording of vehicles on this game is now reaching the point where we dont see them. Ever. Iv seen 3 or 4 in my whole time playing since this mod was released. Ppl having 4/8 vehicles in their camp isnt fair on everyone else.

The idea that all camps are "miles" off map is a myth. Unless you have a helicopter' date=' which are currently disabled on all but a very small number of servers, then it is completely pointless to hide your camp off the map. It requires enormous amounts of time to run back and forth, and consumes more fuel than even a storehouse of Jerry Cans can make up for. You would be spending 90% of your time in game traveling back and forth to your camp. Then your halfway back to the map and your friend logs in now you have to turn around... It's just not that common. Our camps are never more than 1000m from a road so we can access fuel and travel quickly around searching for players and loot. And many other camps are this way. I have stumbled across camps with 4-6 vehicles in them on multiple occasions. Stop crying about "hoarders" and get out there and start hunting for vehicles. They're not that hard to find. LOL way to contradict urself m8 ;p Endgame content means content for those who have reached the pinnacle of a game. Not and ending for the game. I agree with this post to an extent. That being that dayz needs more content for survivors to do. We cant hunt bandits anymore now skins are gone, so there is nothing for us to do.

As the mod has got older Deathmatching has got bigger. Mainly because of the audience it has brought in. Killing for no reason isnt funny. It doesnt make you a better player. REAL bandits wear camo/guillie and dont kill unarmed players. Those that do are pathetic sons of the mother of all bitches. People like you have ruined this mod. I got 4 of my friends to buy the game and play. They all hate it. There is no time to train them, they just die from ass holes like you. There needs to be a balance between good and bad. Right now bandits have an 80/20% rule of the game. Not because they are good, but because they can hunt anyone. I as a survivor can not. Or i risk murdering a good guy. Sort this shit out so its even or prepeare to lose almost every new player that joins.

People that say this game is NOT either coop or pvp are wrong. Its both. The problem being that its unbalanced at the moment. That is what rocket meant for this mod. If you dont beleive me ask him yourself. The beauty of it is it's YOUR choice. Dont let the forum trolls get you down just laugh at how pathetic they are sat waiting to flame any new player they can, because noobs are all they can kill. My advice to you rattus is find a single food and drink (weapons dont matter you will find one somewhere down the line) and head north. Stay off the roads but keep them in sight and you will live longer and in the long run, you will have the gear you hope for :)

Il kill if i randomly run into a guy without warning. I will NEVER kill a guy just because he has something thet i dont. I will NEVER shoot someone who is unarmed. I will NEVER shoot someone that has declared friendly. Anyone in a guillie/camo skin i shoot on sight as 9/10 they are bandits.

Perhaps let you block all frontal damage and bullets, but have it degrade fast as it takes damage. Much more from bullets. Not sure how they would get around how to hold it though lol.

He clearly said he didnt want to get rid of pvp. These idea's are the best yet and il bet atleast 5 end up in the game as a mod' date=' more in standalone. Furthermore you are a bell end. [hr'] Imo id like to see a lot of this in game. All you hater's are only slamming this because you wont be able to horde stupid amounts of ammo and kill unarmed noobs. Great ideas mate its clear youv really put some thought into this. Hope rocket gets a chance to read your epic wall of text as im sure he thinks along the same lines as us. In a nutshell the game wont change much for bandits, and survivors will have a motivation to play once again. Great stuff mate keep it coming :)

I know i posted about this a month or so ago but i really think dayz needs a boost atm. Im not a player killer. I will if i have to but i dont hunt harmless noobs. Bandits can hunt and have endless fun. So whats the point of being a good guy? Once im geared, got my tent set up n got my car fixed, there is literally nothing for me n my buddys to do. Iv played from the start of the mod and i do still love it, but i get bored of having nothing to do. Post endgame idea's here and lets see what we can come up with.
