I cant see that happening to be fair. People are only just beginning to crack the lid on how customizable arma 2 is! I honestly believe that the community will come up with a few more wacky versions that ppl will like.

Go into your N Vidia control panel and for starters take off Ambient Occlusion for arma 2. Have a scroll through the rest of the options and set it to Application controlled where possible. Go into the game and into options/video options and disable anti-aliasing. Enable fxaa x4 and that should give you atleast a 10/20 fps boost. Failing that get a new gpu :)

We have an active community of around 10/15 players at peak times, which isnt bad seeing as we only opened it a few days ago. There are no rules, so to speak. This is an old school bandit vs survivor server, just like in the early days ! f Active admins, checking log files to detect any suspicious behaviour Plenty of vehicles to fix up (75 in total) Plenty or personalities to have a laugh with, even if we do crash and burn as a result :) Old school DayZ style, on Panthera. Option to work with the community, or to oppose it. Connected to all other HFB Panthera servers via HFB Hive. OK so i set my first chernarus server up the other day, and everything was going perfect. 2 days without so much as a hiccup. Now when i try log in to it, dayz antihax kicks me instantly with the message Battle eye admin ban (Dayz Antihax 04.12.2012) [remote code execution] Anyone got any idea how to rectify the situation ? This is my first go at server operation so it may be down to human error. Any advice will merit beanz !! thanks in advance.

The package im using from hfb doesnt include rcon mate. Can i still use it?

i Know exactly whats happened. My idiot friend kicked me yesterday 'for fun', now upon enabling antihax and the community ban list i am banned from my own server. Anyone know how i can access who is banned and who isnt.?

Make it totally rare like the rocket launcher, having no more than one spawn as loot on a server at any given time. Remove all ways to dupe and i dont see a problem.

Also DayZ is harsh on the CPU. 2.4ghz is likely the reason for your frame drops/lag

The problem with low end optimization, is that zombies eat up a lot of FPS at the moment due to the 3 models per zombie/player thing that arma 2 has going on. The requirements you likely read are for arma 2 OA. Dayz standalone apparently boasts 1 model per player, so that should boost performance by 2/3 in theory. As for a gaming rig that's on par with new and demanding games such as Dayz. Her's what i bought.... Intel i5 3.6 ivy bridge (fully over clockable to 4.5) GTX 680 2gb 8gb corsair ddr3 120gb SSD with 500gb sata 3 backup HDD This setup will give you 45/60fps wherever you go in dayz, and will knock all games out of the park for a good few years yet.

Its actually not arma 3. It will run on the arma 2 engine with added features from the arma 3 engine. Answer to your question OP, is that no one knows as of yet, unless rocket see's this thread you will have to wait for further announcements :)

Get the new dayz files via torrent from the main page. It comes with a changelog.

I get what your saying here. I fully support dayzcommander. Its a great, easy way for lesser pc savvy users to install the mod. On the subject of vilayer though, i see it like this. Although Vilayer aren't selling the maps, they are using them as a marketing ploy to sell more monthly rented servers. Now this normally would be fine, IF they made the maps themselves, or asked the users permition. So in effect, vilayer is making money at icebreakr's expense. Its like me taking a well know piece of art, hanging it in a different frame, calling it my own and selling it.

I have said this from the moment vilayer arrived on the dayz scene. They are a server hosting company. Their goal is to make money. Not to promote or in any way help dayz. If anything they are trying to cash in on the success of dayz and icebreakr. Something even Rocket could have, but didn't do.
