Someone defo dropped it for a cz. Likely he had an auto firing weapon already and dropped it for the cz. The M249 on the other hand is a mystery. Perhaps a friendly hacker left it for some lucky guy to find?

Respect and my beans for the everquest reference ! Now there is a game for the hardcore fans. Shame EQ2 didnt follow the same roots. Although it is easily still the best mmo out there.

Ok so we ninja stashed our tent with some uber heli loot and al lot more stuff. Our other tents are ok but that one is empty. Is there a bug with putting up tents under trees ? thanks for any info.

After my home sever was rolled back 4 times in as many hours im stuck in the wilderness again /sigh. Is there a general area it puts you in ? I ask so i can make my way back. I have a map and a compass so all i need is a general idea if im north or western wilderness. -
Just posting this to clarify what endgame actually means, as people instantly jump on other peoples posts saying the goal is to survive there is no end !! How long have you been playing games lol?? Have you ever got to the end of one ? ENDGAME content is NOT an ending to the game. It is simply more content for those who have reached or are nearing the pinnacle of the game. As rocket has clearly said there WILL be endgame content coming into dayz very soon. Trolls it is wayyyy past your bedtime.

Hatchet has a ten foot reach mate i can chop through them with ease. I often prefer an axe to any other primary in town / military runs. Not bad for player killing aswell as it takes off a good 6000 and breaks legs instantly. -
Rocket will come up with a remake of the humanity system eventually. Have faith :) The problem he has is making it both realistic and fair to both partys. I love player interaction in this game even if it turns out hostile. My advice to you archangel is to be more sneaky when you see a player. Grass and trees are your friend, use them well. Get the drop on your target or wait for them to pass. Bearing in mind if they head the same way as you, its probably better to kill them here, than to BE killed by them a mile up the road,

Helicopter crash sites are where the best and easyest loot spawns. You fired without warning. They protected their treasures. Next time throw a grenade their way :) Not everyone is hostile but in situations like this most people would have shot you mate. Dont let it get you down pal this game is all about death and frustration.

I bought a £1.300 rig recently with an i5 and an nvidia 2gb gtx 630 jetstream that cost £500 on its own. I still cannot play full settings. I have to have my interface and 3d resolutions one apart on full settings. ARMA 2 is still one of the most gpu and cpu demanding games in existance. -

People forget that ARMA 2 has the most in depth, expansive map editor ever seen in a game. Just look at what rocket did with DayZ. The possibilties are literally endless. All you need to know is some basic scripting and away you go. Your very own game. -
The game is PVP. Without it seriously what is the point. Do you enjoy shooting zombies that much ? 40/50 kills in and id be bored to shit and turn it off. The whole point of the game is those heart pounding gun fights where you dont know where the sniper is, and he's picking off your team one by one. Only to give away his position at the last minute for you to pop one in his cranium. That my friend is DayZ. Zombies are the canvas. We are the picture.

1.7.2.3 is working perfect besides the odd fps drop in citys. Excellent work on making it stable. What a big difference from the woeful 1.7.2.1 All we need now is to sort the alt+f4 business out and wel be rockin it with bells on ! -

Same just happend to me. Though dying did not give me my gear back. Fucked off with this shit now 3rd time this week my character had died/lost gear to bugs.

Bullshit. 7/10 of all players i meet on all servers that i dont know, are friendlys. Every time i play dayz without fail i end up in a large party of randoms that just bumped into one another. Sure il kill the odd few that dont speak fast enough but that is all. your mentality of the game comes from your stupidity of falling into the shoot on sight playstyle. Created by bandits to stop us banding togeather. Im not saying trust everyone...far from it. Just killing everyone you see is not the intended way of the game. The point is you choose your action. Not let some stereotype make that decision for you. -

It isnt coming out for Arma 3. It will be out as standalone by the end of the year. Early 2013 at the latest according to rockets latest interview. He estimated a price of 15 euro's. -
