My guess is he doesn't want to throw out just anything. He probably wants to wait for something of quality to occur before making another announcement.

Hang in there man. Play on a server with no other players until you have a feel for the game and what buildings are lootable and what not. Then join a server with about 5-8 people on it to make it more interesting.

Hey all. I bought Arma II quite awhile ago to play DayZ. I was really enjoying the MOD because it was so hard and unforgiving. And it was nothing like any zombie game I've ever played. With that being said, I stopped playing the MOD because of all of the problems it had. For example, zombies hearing perfectly through walls and buildings, randomly breaking my leg, zombies clipping through doors, getting sniped on the beach as soon as I spawned, overall instability and what threw me over the edge finally were the hackers. Whether being instakilled, teleported in front of them and forced to PVP, even if they were being nice and spawning vehicles for people and weapons, it broke immersion terribly. Granted the last version I played was 1.3.xx My question is.. is the MOD still incredibly frustrating? Is it worth re-installing? Or should I save myself the headache and wait for Standalone?
