Thanks for the thread! I was wondering why my FPS became so shitty and lowered everything except for post-processing stuff, because that usually does not eat up lots of FPS. But yeah, I went from 25 to 40 again without AmbientOcclusion, thanks! :D -
Do you also feel like cars are being handled server-side which leads to laggy behaviour? To me it seems that cars are "simulated server side". They wait for my input and then get simulated on the server. Problem with that is - with LC-lers filling the server with crazy amounts of loot the server performance goes down. One of the NL HC servers (3664734) gets so laggy when full (60ppl) that not only zombies & players lag around - I crashed a perfectly fine car in 1st gear and 10km/h because it suddenly jumped forward into a sign and radiator broke. After 1hr replacing the radiator (and filling it with water by using 2 bottles and 1 canteen) it jumped again into a rock on a curve. I was nowhere near that rock! Seems like interpolation projected me more forward and "crashed" into the rock. Anyway man. I understand cars are server-side so they can persist etc. but does the driving really have to be server-side? I would like it to behave like in other games. The vehicle is client side and the data gets propagated to the server & players. In DayZ offline singleplayer mode cars behave PERFECTLY, but on servers I've lost 2 cars so far to lag.

That black screen happens every time I open up the game. Workaround for me: Open up game, look at black screen, curse Change resolution to something lower than my default (1080p) & disable hardware AA Restart game & set resolution back to normal, same with hardware AA Play game So to avoid having to do this every launch one can just alter resolution & AA settings before CLOSING the game after a play session and for the next playsession alter the settings again & play. Damn man, this is annoying AF. But I get it, its technical, complicated, bla. So BIS take your time, the game is really enjoyable for me. :) Server Hopping Fix I love the idea but I don't get how it works. Is there a timer or something? Server hoppers do it FAST, so why not use a TIMER instead of "has player changed server?" I got used to the night time gameplay but because some days my server is populated and on other days it's empty, I want to switch servers! I mean, after a play session I go to sleep, go about my day, at least 10 hours are gone, how in the hell is my new login considered SERVER HOPPING? A timer of 1-3 hrs would fix that problem and be more user friendly. Or at least give an explanation for the reason why it is how it is right now.

Ahahahahah :D Yes man! Thats the spirit! :D PS: Discord takes time to get used to, like ANY SOFTWARE/GAME. It's well worth it though. It combines so many good features. Have you tried it? Get your most active community members and get them on discord, try it out. :) You won't look back. -

So you are telling me that you are running a high risk project by paying money for a server, which is running an unstable, unfinished product and you increase your costs by paying for Teamspeak, while Discord is free? Really? Cmon man, this is HILLARIOUS! :D My friend. I feel your pain. To ease the pain a bit, switch to Discord, save yourselves the TS costs. What's the community server btw? I might check it out, I'm getting more into dayZ than I was 5 years ago, when I bought it. :) Maybe one day we will play together and chat on Discord. Have a great day. -

Take a massive spoon of salt with this post. I'm triggered. :D Wow, people bitch about "having a right to X, Y & Z", let's talk about responsibility as well, eh? Imagine this - you and your girlfriend/boyfriend say "we are going to meet at spot X at time Y". Now both people are expected to be there 100% because it was clearly communicated. What if one person said "listen, I'll try my BEST to be there but if I get into an unforseen urgent inner organ surgery I am not sure I can come at the time Y" - how does this clear communication change the expectation? WHO EXACTLY is emotionally RESPONSIBLE for: feeling like they've been fucked with or cheated after buying an unfinished game at an EARLY ACCES UNSTABLE state & developing an apparently strong emotional connection to the product by putting enormous amounts of time into it? Yes. You yourself, 100%. Hard to swallow, but if you get this swallowed without bitching back, you actually are a grown up person. Self-Responsibility is one of the hardest topics to learn. Of course this was a mishap, everyone knows it and fuck me if they are NOT going to fix that, lol. Remember when you failed at something in school and you knew it. Who felt worst about it? The people around you or you yourself? So do we REALLY need to sit here smashing our keyboards full of negativity? Or can we rewind our minds a bit and accept the reality that: -the problems you see right now would not be there if you had not bought the game before it was done -BI has more than one game, you know, it's a big company, many games to do and the parallel development of a game engine is a bitch -DayZ is closer to being finished than it ever was -we still have other games to play -and a roof over our heads, food to eat, friends to talk to etc. instead of shooting eachother IN REAL LIFE somewhere because we wanna eat eachothers coconuts? Be greatful for what you got, man. Damn. I personally wanna say THANKS, I finally had some fun again playing DayZ and I am happy to see parts of Enfusion working nicely so far. :) I liked the controls, player actions (grab, open etc, could be a bit more "loose" though, not that strict), performance, scale, visuals, audio. My only main negative point of todays quick playtest after a long time is - damn, its dark in the night. I know. Realism & gameplay is a bitch to balance. I wish the DayZ team the best, keep it on guys. And be nice to dusa. -

I hate how the zombies see me from 10-15m even when I am prone. Prone should really be the "stealth" thing and crouch-walk the best thing to do when around zombies. Goddamit, I cant even crouch walk near a town without getting a mob on me, I cant loose them and get killed. I even tried running around a corner of a building and going prone, they lost me but as I am crawling away from the corner and they come investigate my old position I get insta-spotted as soon as they cross the corner. Fuck this man, really. This is not fair and just frustrating. And not at all realistic. If something is small and moving slowly it might as well be another zombie. Even the hoppers move more "jerky" than a player and why don't the zombies attack THEM? It seems to me that the visibility system needs a bit of tweaking. This is no fun for me anymore. I hopped in today after a few weeks not playing. And I will not hop in again until this is fixed. Its just too frustrating for me. Prone is so useless now too. You dont see the zombies because of all the grass and you have no idea how close you are to them. And then you get aggro and, bah. Old story. Sorry for the rant, it's just how I feel atm. Thanks in advance for this brocacho. I once spawned at Prigorodki, ran to cherno, aggroed a lot of zombies and my last resort was a church to get them in there and find a gun in the church and shoot the zombies. Oh well, church doors opened and what do I see? fucking barbed wire. This thing is only in there for trolling purposes, fucking get it out of the game. -

@MAP FEAR: Bullshit people. Do you really think you are the only ones thinking that no one traves to spot X Y Z? Think again. ;) Also - you guys are thinking waay to egoistic. It's not the community you think about. And I think that many people are interested in such a map, just to see whats going on and if their predictions were right or not. And then come you guys who are afraid someone is gonna find your precious sneaky tent/vehicle spot... This is alpha. Your characters and your loot are worthless anyway. So we might as well just have a bit more fun with them. -

Love the patch. Zombies see a bit too far. I was spotted from a zombie that JUST spawned in far away, I was running though so... In my opinion a bit overkill...
