  1. Helmet would be great, would love the intense moment of a bullet grazing off the side of a helmet when you thought you were well hidden. Also the kevlar clothing idea's to lower the chance of zombies causing you to bleed would be nice.

Would it not be un-reasonable to say that a helmet would stop them from knocking you out in a single hit as I'd argue that melee really isn't going to hit you on the head that hard if your wearing a military helmet, specially bare handed.

I think the vests are a great idea too, as long as they aren't just a value of protection that bullets really wont bother you too much, you should be just as susceptible to damage if hit in area's without protection, neck, legs, under arms etc.

  2. "as they arent really what I'd like to drink in a priority".....what the hell is going on in your head, you want to window shop for what you feel like in an apocalypse. Had it gone down I'd be over the moon to find a can of crab juice if it were a PRIORITY. I really don't see many post-apocalypse survivors going "hmmm I've been without water for 2 and a half days now, i have this can of delicious mountain dew.....nah i don't really like soda ill just wait until i find some clean water".

Try not to forget what it is this mod is trying to do.

  3. Just a few thoughts I've had while playing this terrific mod.

Refilling water cans, great, any way to make the sinks, taps, or any other perceivable water source usable to refill the cans? I found a well, it was boarded over but could that not be a source of water to refill at.

Blood bags - Don't bite my head off if I have this one wrong, but if I have one I kind of feel I should be able to use it on myself. The same way you would a bandage or can of delicious beans.

Empty Cans - While watching a video of Day Z on youtube, from what appeared to be a much earlier release, the player mentioned that cans found could be used to throw and distract the wondering zombies. I attempted it (firstly thinking I'd found something awesome when I was in fact able to lob a tin can) but to no avail the zombie paid it no attention. The idea how ever is fantastic, while smoke grenades are good to use, why couldn't throwing junk to distract and draw away wondering zeds not be implemented. It would add in another dimension of stealth, misdirection. I dont mean have them sprint at the sound of the tin, but turn their stumbling, hopping or crawling direction to the direction of impact.

Silenced M9 - Upon finding this I felt a triumphant ' I'll shoot which ever zombie I please now'. Was latter saddened that it was drawing in zombies with firing, and yes I understand a silencers isn't 100% quiet. But I can fire a regular pistol and draw zombies in the same radius as the suppressed, so that is where the issue for me lies, the radius of alert could be reduced as to make a bit more sense.

Temperature - From freaking the fuck out at suddenly playing Michael J Fox and hating the new system, to being fine with it after the fix, i think that many environmental factors should affect this new value. Is it windy, raining, night time, than your temp should fall accordingly. Are you in the sunlight, running across a field, getting that body temperature up through movement, than it should rise accordingly. Gone for a dip, than it should drop, drying off in the breeze, should drop. Only thinking that more could affect it. Any possiblity of a jacket/thicker/thinner clothing mechanic that could be implemented, adding a new type of item that is required for survival. Thicker jackets reducing the amount of body temp lost on rainy/night/windy weather. Or the minor increases from finding a thin shirt and putting that on over the top of your current clothing.

I don't know, when your on foot between huge area's your head wonders about stuff, if you read it all cheers, if you think you can improve on those idea's in more complex ways I'd love to hear it.
