Hello, I would like to know how to disable death from infection. It seems like it should be a fairly simple procedure. I don't mind the infection symptoms, but I'd like to disable death caused by infection. Does anyone know how I could do this? Thanks for any help. Joe

Right on. The problem I am having with PBO Manager is that I don't get the option to pack pbo files with it. I believe I'm supposed to be able to right-click on a pbo folder and get an option to pack it using PBO Manager, however the option is not there. Maybe I'm not using it correctly.

Ok, I've narrowed the previous error in my process down too tool settings. When using BinPBO to pack the edited pbo folder, I needed to manually include some file extensions to be directly written to the pbo file it will create. It turns out that .ext and .sqm files were not enabled in the default of BinPBO's settings. So when I tried to pack my pbo folder/files, the .ext and .sqm files were being excluded. I know this is a funky way of providing a Noob-Level Tutorial, however maybe this thread can help other folks who are just getting started with mod additions. Thanks for watching and good evening. Finally, I uploaded the modified dayz_1.chernarus pbo to the proper directory on my server. MPMissions/dayz_1.chernarus When I start my server and after waiting for 2 minutes, I try to join and get this: IT F**KING WORKS!!! HOLY F**KING CHRIST IT WORKS!!! Sorry, guys. I swear, I tried this 42 times and got the "Wait for Host" error every time and now it works!

Hello, I am administrating a DayZ Chernarus Private Hive server 1.7.7.1 through HFB and I am having some difficulty editing PBO's. In particular, the dayz_1.chernarus mission file pbo. For whatever reason, I am not able to refuel anywhere on my server. I am hoping that an auto refuel script might solve the problem, so I downloaded this https://github.com/MattzFiber/DayZ-Fuel-Script from GitHub and followed instructions provided. This was my process: I downloaded my mission file, dayz_1.chernarus, from the MPMission files directory on my server to my desktop. I then extracted it's contents onto my desktop using PBO Manager. So, I now had a folder on my desktop of the pbo contents called dayz_1.chernarus. Following the instructions that accompanied the "DayZ-Fuel-Script-master" file I got from GitHub, I place the "scriptsMZ" folder into my new dayz_1.chernarus pbo folder. After that, I edited the mission.sqm (according to author's instruction) in this fashion: I used BinPBO to pack the new dayz_1.chernarus pbo: And then reopened with PBOManager to check the contents and then locked it.

Update: I seem to have solved the problem. I uninstalled and reset everything I possibly could and started from as close to the beginning as possible. I uninstalled HFB Chernarus Private and BEC and then reinstalled HFB Chernarus Private. Then I re-reapplied the Update 3 as Amber suggested yesterday. Now, I can join my server. I'm going to try and reinstall BEC and check to see if things are still kosher. Thanks for the help and suggestions, guys. It amazes me that HFB has no forum or video series for tutorials. Nothing against them, but even one quick-setup guide would be helpful. Maybe there is something like that out there, but I haven't been able to find it. It really was a simple fix that I was overlooking and a quick how-to would've prevented me from feeling like a jackass. If anyone out there knows of these types of resources, please link me to them. I joined a new unofficial forum the other day called HFBServers forum. There are only four members, though, so not much help yet. Hoping it grows. Again, thanks for the help and suggestions and I now know who to ask if I have future questions. You guys are awesome. :)

In which command line? I've been digging through the configuration files looking for command line parameters that are rMod based and I find nothing. Man, I appreciate you guys trying to help, though. This is the first forum in almost 10 hours that I've actually gotten reponse from. Gives me some hope. If either one of you guys could jump on as a sub admin and unravel this for me it would be awesome. Is that a fairly safe thing to do? Or would I be kinda dumb to consider that? It seems like it should be something simple as I haven't altered the files all that much yet. I did whitelist the server while I'm working out this mess to spare people the frustration of trying to join it right now. I'm just looking to set up a simple DayZ Chernarus Private Hive server. No frills.

Thank you for the reply. I reapplied the Update 3, but rMod does not show up in the Mod Manager. The only mod in the Mod Manager that I have installed is HFB Chernarus Private. I had no idea it would be this frustrating. I have some experience using Control Center, but this is a whole different beast. I'm ready to pay someone else to do it. Haha. The only problem with that is then I won't learn anything.

Hello, Let me just start off by saying I already feel like a dink (yes, I'm a noob). I ordered a Dayz server from HFB and received it this morning. As of yet, I have been unable to set it up properly. It has been totally un-joinable. I chose the Chernarus map and set that up properly, however when I tried to join the server, I was given the #44 error. So I went back to the server control and started some updates. That's when things went bad. I applied these updates: * 1.7.7.1 BattlEye Filters Update * 103718 Beta Patch * 1.7.7.1 DayZ Chernarus Private Update 3 * rMod (2.1) Update * rMod [2.1] (1.7.7.1) Chernarus Update After installing these updates, I was given another error message basically telling me that some rMod/rmod2 files were missing. That's when I realized that I had inadvertently installed rMod/rmod2 while I thought I was just updating the files. I then tried to "uninstall" rMod/rmod2 by deleting some folders and making a change to the dayz_1.chernarus file in the MPMissions folder on my server. I deleted the "rmod" entry from the dayz_1.chernarus file and deleted both the @rMod and @rmod2 folders. This did not work. As a matter of fact, it made things worse. Now I just get the black "Wait for Host" screen indefinitely. When I use the original dayz_1.chernarus file, I get this error and a few on-screen messages i.e. my user name and welcome messages, etc... : 8:54:27 rmod 8:54:27 Warning Message: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.rmod Can anyone please help me sort this out? I just want to set up a simple DayZ Chernarus Private hive server. No additional mods. Thank you for your time. Joe

Hahaha. The ole "to pvp or not to pvp" debate, eh? I like it just as much as the guy and I agree that it's a necessary piece of the DayZ puzzle. But, rules are rules.

If someone pvp's in a "no pvp" server and then changes their name, will the server admin still know who they are?
