I think anywhere you would think would have first aid should have them: 1. Hospitals - is a given. 2. General stores - should have rudimentary first aid supplies so yeah. 3. Fire Stations - very under used buildings and would defiantly have lots of first responder medical supplies. 4. Churches - Many churches deal with catastrophes and the homeless I would expect them to have to things to warm up / keep warm.

DayZ uses the character models from the Arma 2: Private Military Company DLC. So in order to have the full textured models you have to get the DLC. Sorry if its not exactly the answer you wanted.
