Great stories. Still reading all of these. I once stole a helicopter from 3 people. (They recently lost one of their helicopters (They had two of them)) I was a fresh spawn. They managed to do some minor damage to the helicopter. I traveled all over Chernarus using that helicopter. It was crazy. For a first time I suppose..

So... What is the funniest thing that has happened to you in DayZ? I was teaming up with a friend. We were scavenging from town to town. 30 Minutes to an hour after we found each other in one of the Airfields we head to Cherno. We were traveling in the forest very close to the road unfortunately. We heard a car. We prone behind a tree (There weren't many options). He drove over my body breaking my legs (I had a hatchet. Don't underestimate how great I am with silent weapons) He ran over my friend and killed him. The person in the car had a gun and thought he would have some fun with me. By running around in circles around me.. I asked for him for mercy. He laughed. I waited for him to get close while circling around me. I hacked his legs. Then I went for the head. I stole his car but I lost too much blood and passed out. Someone with a Winchester 1866 found me and shot me. This is the funniest thing that happened to me in DayZ. What about you? I would be interested to know about your fun in the game.

I had a motorbike when I was playing with one of my friends (not same one in the post). We found a motorbike with fuel. But one of the wheels were damaged. So we kept of doing random wheelies.

PC Specs: Ram: 2048 ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics Processor: AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 2 CPUs 2.1GHz Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Laptop (Yeah I know.. Should have known better to get a laptop) I used to be able to play DayZ with only stutter kind of lag. Perfect fps for about 3 seconds. Then 5 second lag with about 2 fps. Now I get 8 - 20 fps in DayZ. Single Player in Arma 2 is around average. (I would assume) I get 30 fps in Single Player. I have tried many ways to fix lag. Changed max frames ahead to 1, I have tried messing around with the ingame options, I messed around with the scene complexity. Got rid of vsync and Mouse Smoothing. Any help would be appreciated.

How exactly do I get into the catalyst control centre? I've never used it before.

I've done that aswell. I'm planning on buying a good gaming desktop in about 6 weeks. But I'm still trying to lag less. Any other ideas for lag fixing? I have used almost every set launch option there is for Arma 2.

Very laggy mod. I tried it out. Bought Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead wanting to play DayZ. Found out the hard why how bad ArmA 2 is optimized. Seems like no matter what my settings are in DayZ, my FPS will always be the same
