While I do recognize that there are currently only 3 weapons in the game (not including the .357 which no one seems to have even found yet), the abundance of M4s is a little excessive. I realize that it's alpha, but even when more weapons are implemented I hope that every military loot location and fire station doesn't have a weapon in it. Acquiring a weapon should feel like a privilege, not an expectation. Sounds like a prodigy.

Bleeding out while starting fist fights.

I do agree that bleeding in DayZ has always been a bit ridiculous... It's as if every vein in your body is as fragile as your jugular and every zombie is wolverine. -
Dayz Stand Alone Lack Of Items
[email protected] replied to Bodycount69's topic in General Discussion
Gee wiz, a bit hostile don't you think? :P I don't know how you all are having such a hard time finding loot. It all feels pretty abundant to me. Try using the DayZDB map to chart your course so you're not just traipsing around areas with crummy loot. You're not going to find much as far as firearms go in many of the residential areas, you'd be much better off checking fire stations or military spawns. But as a rule of thumb, you really don't want to stick around the coast for long. Just head into the nearest town, grab some basic supplies and make your way north; it's safer, and the loot is much more plentiful. Happy trails. -
Hmm, I don't know why you're not hearing footsteps. Have you had this problem on more than one occasion or is this just an issue of not paying attention? :P But I definitely agree that they should attach sounds to opening and closing doors. For a hapless wasteland subject to years of disrepair, Chernarus sure does have some remarkably well preserved door hinges...

Since DayZ is attempting to actualize legitimate survival situations, it wouldn't really make sense to add nametags to other players. For one thing, nametags could give away the position of other players without you actually spotting them, and even if they implemented them in such a way where this wouldn't be a problem, seeing a floating line of text above someone's head would not only break immersion, but also, in my opinion, just feel kind of tacky. I appreciate the realism of not knowing exactly who you're looking at or talking to without them letting you know themselves.

Item shape in relation to slots.
[email protected] replied to lunchyyy's topic in General Discussion
This game is a survival simulator. It's attempting to deliver the most realistic and immersive experience possible. This feature definitely feels more immersive to me than just dropping stuff into my backpack like its some bottomless pit. -
Lol good luck pulling off that shot.

That post went from acceptable to abhorrent pretty fast.

Try the school in Elektro.

It spawns in the school in Elektro pretty frequently.

rocket, please reduce spawn rate of motorcycle helmets (or nerf them)
[email protected] replied to pojo2k8's topic in General Discussion
The helmets themselves should not be nerfed, but the spawns should absolutely be reduced. -
Not a big deal, I'm definitely not lacking in cash or anything, but I just want to know how I should go about buying a new CD key. Where should I buy it, and is there anything that I should do before I buy it to ensure that my key isn't just stolen again? Thanks guys.

So my CD Key was stolen...

Does everyone claim that? Well maybe it's true. I know I have never tried hacking and I never would. I honestly don't care if you believe me, but it's the truth. -

Please, if you don't know the situation don't jump to conclusions. Yeah I'll definitely have a talk with him. Should I buy it off of Steam again or should I buy it off the BI website? -

Thanks for the helpful reply. Calm down, bud. I don't hack, nor have I ever tried. I honestly have no clue how it was stolen. Sometimes my younger brother comes to my house and I let him play on my PC. He might've done something. -

This is how you balance bloodsuckers on namalsk (Because they need it)
[email protected] replied to Skinny_Man's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The point of my post was, I very much enjoy the Namalsk map, but bloodsuckers dull down the experience a good bit.
