  1. Was a good video until you killed him.
  2. It's shown each time you start the game, what more do people need?
  3. Nothing's particularly wrong. It's currently in alpha stage so it's relatively unstable, but that certainly doesn't mean you won't have a blast playing it. However, if you do plan on buying it keep in mind that it is not a finished game. You will experience bugs and such, so don't expect the game to be perfectly polished. Also, Rocket has confirmed that the price will rise in the future (he didn't specify by how much it will rise or how long from now), so if you played the DayZ mod and know you're into it, buying it now would be a pretty safe investment.

    The Map?

Yep. The map is still the same size.
  5. In a word - alpha. The game has not yet been fully optimized.
  6. There have already been a few threads suggesting this, but nonetheless it's still a good idea.
  7. This reads like some sort of newspaper article.
  8. What is with the people who can't find foot and water? They're both so ridiculously prevalent that I end up dropping a good deal of the food that I pick up to swap for other items. Maybe your problem is that you're sticking to the coast. Try heading up north, loot is much more abundant up there.
  9. The prevalence of motobike helmets definitely needs to be toned down, but I see no reason for them to be removed. And I don't see anything wrong with the Payday masks. As others have said, no one's forcing you to wear them.
  10. According to this post by rocket, that's not true. Look for the "Additional Anti-Hack and Security" heading. It's scheduled for late 2013. Sounds like a top concern to me.
  11. Yeah, as far as I know the "I'm full" and "My thirst is quenched" notifications are bugged considering that not I nor any of my friends have seen them since an update or two ago. But as for your thirst being stuck on yellow, I'm not sure. The only thing I can suggest has already been suggested. Just go to a pond or water pump and middle mouse click over and over and over again. It takes a lot of gulps from a pond to quench your thirst now.
  12. Rocket has stated that the anti-hack system is not yet in full effect (as you should expect, considering it's alpha). However the title of this thread is pretty misleading. You encountered two "hackers" and are saying they're "all over the place". I haven't seen a single one, and I'm going to assume that the vast majority of the community hasn't either, otherwise these forums would be polluted with "HAX!" threads.
  13. I do like the concept of this, as I hate the idea of nametags but do like the idea of ID'ing someone you've just killed, however I don't find it very plausible that all of the remaining living occupants of Chernarus would still carry around a driver's license. It seems like a pretty impractical thing to carry around years after a zombie apocalypse.
  14. I haven't tried it, but I wouldn't imagine that it would be a very viable alternative to the mouse and keyboard. Most PC games that feature controller support don't seem to have it implemented very soundly. There's really not enough buttons on a 360 controller to warrant the use of one in DayZ particularly.
