Synix, Ive actually dug a short well by hand and yes it sucks, that being said, there should be an option at some point to "rebuild". Small buildings might be able to be constructed, wells dug and just something that will make a more permanent solution than just tents and cars for storage/going into town for water.

Hi there, After talking with a few of my group, this idea is something we though had relevance. Eventually, you as a player will find an area you consider home. This will most likely be off the beaten path and away from civilization. For this reason, would it not be a good idea to have the ability to create a well for drinking. Chern is a coastal area and an artesian well should be fairly easy to get anywhere from 50-75 feet down. Anyhow, love it or hate it... thats a suggestion.

Hello, I am kinda curious how the whole process of saved vehicles/tents work on servers. When new patches are applied, sometimes we notice none of these spawn for a time period when the servers come back up(or they dont at all). The question I have is, since from what ive read, the main dayz server tracks all vehicles(damage/location)... When a server is patched and returned to playability, do you have to wait for them to be retransmitted to the individual server that you play on/the vehicles reside on? Before the flames come in, I am well aware that this is alpha. However id like to know the process plans and how they work for future reference. Thanks for your input and much appreciation to the DayZ staff and mods for an excellent piece of work.

Ive had both at one point and the main difference is the fire settings M4A1 CCO has semi or full auto + Red dot sight M4A3 CCO has semi or 3 round burst only + Red dot and flashlight Camo is standard on the A3 and standard black is the A1. The Dayz wiki shows it correctly for the M4A1 but someone should change it for the A3 as the fire selection isnt listed.

Ill agree on the matches thing.. Military zombies should have a chance of dropping them, we all know 95% of russian and german soldats smoke. ;) I can also verify punisher_1's observation on the unique items. I would imagine a few people just happen to get lucky. That being said for a team of 7-8 people, we havent seen anything except the M24(found 2) off of the unique list. Thing is we frequently raid the barracks, stands and whatnot. Oh also found 3 downed choppers but no ability to enter them for gear :(. Now the weirdest part of our luck is that we could literally build a NORAD sized bunker on the amount of M107 and M240 ammo canisters we have found. So yeah, gotta love random rolls. Oh and before I forget, wouldnt camo clothing and ghille suits also show up in deer stands? I dont know about you but in America, hunters commonly wear that stuff. Thinking about it, is there a possiblity of camo netting for vehicles and tents to better obscure them? Just my thoughts... Russ

DayZ you either love or hate, basing an argument after 15 mins of playing it really isnt giving it a chance. That being said..... 1. You should play a few of the actual missions in Arma 2 OA to get used to the controls. Yes they are a bit clunky for your standard BF/COD controls so take the time to get used to it. 2. Use the forums to your advantage, "read" the starter information or respawning threads. Forums are your friend, out of game maps are your friend, knowledge is power. 3. Server times are normally linked to actual time zone of the server. If you are on a dark one, look for one in a time zone that isnt dark. 4. It sounds like you and your friends lack patience, which you need in truckloads for this game at times. One or more of you will die, many times over and then have to figure out how to get back to you. I have 6-8 guys that are in my group and the last firefight we got into, we lost 3. We won but now we have close to half the numbers and are halfway up the map. Meanwhile you cant just wait for the others to meet you, typically you move back to a safe(and i use that term loosely) exfil point and then work things out. So to wrap things up, you are more than capable of fixing the problems you are having. Arm yourself with a little knowledge, some beans and a dirty magazine and get to it. Well if one of them had a connection issue, we would have to change servers. I had never taken a hit, was at full blood, had no icons other than standard on right hand side and everytime I spawned to a new server I was on the ground with the hourglass. Didnt matter if I was fine when i logged out of the prior server, was always unconscious(Epi-pen could be used to revive me). Oh Temp was normal and I was green on all the side icons as well. The game was registering the pistol magazines as the number of mags for the Submachine gun and vice versa. Was really really strange. Everytime I fired a full magazine out of the MP5SD, a pistol mag would dissapear and the number would count down by 1 on the "F key" notification.
