    in a way. if i am forced to play in 1st, then it would be a hella lot scarier Though, Could be tedious with limited senses in the game think of it like this 3rd person you are still using 100% visuals to understand your surrounding but its more inpar with a realistic amount of sensory's in my opinion

    Thank you mZLY for trying to clear this up for people People the closed alpha is only testing the system stability not features "Like FPS/LAG with 200 players online", "Any server crashing because of this" and so on... it is not about finding bugs with little things, This means if rocket posts something like "Today I load up DayZ Standalone. FPS is stable... world looks good... zombies chasing me indoors... #lifeIsGood" This is a VERY good sign the build is stable, so stable they intend to "STRESS" test is just in-case there's problems with stability with larger numbers if not then SA will be public in no time, next month easy

    I do wonder how this will be handled. you could not possibly tell everyone "Hey guys first wave is going out! better get your sorry ass over to steam!" it would cause mayhem bet it will be just totally random nek minnit we got dayz on steam for 50k people.

    Weapon balancing will be very easy, guys relax the fact people can't pop a DMR out of there asses with loads of ammo means that you will never have a real problem with them overused. They can also change the rarity of item spawns, The idea some weapons are OP is a good thing in dayZ because you will feel rewarded by finding them, but also ammo will be rare balancing the use of said item

    That all depends on the stability and bug reporting of are fine moderators/streamers/randoms.if things are working out as expected im sure not long after.. but as of right now all you could say is "when its ready"

    Guys this is a very good signthey are looking at testing the SA build with a smaller range of people to check stability, This means they believe "if it's successful" public testing can commence. so fingers crossed this week we see a stable game play experience

    Reddit post from rocket on clothing system Boots are part of the clothing system. currently the followwing clothing systems exist for standalone: Headwear (e.g. motorcycle helmet) Vision / Face Torso (jacket, hoodie etc..) Vest (anti-stab etc...) Trousers (e.g. cargo pants) Footwear (e.g. boots, trainers, sneakers) I believe footwear, like in "the road", will be one of the most important items in the game.

    Just want to clear something up Rocket did say that the closed testing will start any day now, From what i gather this foundation test is ultimately testing stability on a larger player base if the build is stable with max players on the servers, they will be releasing public testing
