Mine wasn't too long after I started playing. My buddies had been playing for a while before me but had just transitioned servers shortly before so we wanted to get a heli up and running. We were all geared out and the server was low pop so we said fuck it and three of us went to elektro to raid the industrial. One of my two friends went up on one of the big barrels to provide overwatch since there were some players on and me an the other friend proceeded to flip loot in all the industrial buildings. Eventually we hear 1911 shots that weren't any of ours. The friend on overwatch located him pretty quick and just watched him since he only had the pistol. At one point while changing positions he gets spotted and the guy with the pistol starts running towards him. The overwatch took a few potshots at the guy and missed on them all (he is terrible with a sniper). Since I was closer to him I was already on my way when he inevitably told us he missed the guy. I got there just as the guy had started up a ladder to a barrel (not the correct one but the intent was clear). I laid into him with my Bizon sd and dropped him like a sack of potatoes. Then climbed the ladder to save myself from the hits of zeds the sniper shots had brought earlier. Even though he was a recent spawn, I didn't feel bad in the least.

The game mechanics allow scripting but that's still cheating, therefore your logic is flawed.

Even if you can't figure anything else out these aren't loot that is obtainable in Dayz. That's enough to ban him for scripting just there. Edit: Forgot to remove IPs

No body but one guy has even mentioned a ddos. There has been no confirmation of what is going on. Calm down.

Hey guys, all of the official Public Servers in my DayZ Commander seem to be non playable? Is there something wrong with the server's on your end?

It's funny how many of you have contradicting rules. Honestly my ROE are the same as solipsist. And since I'm almost always in a group of some sort I rarely worry about being backstabbed if I try and be friendly. You kill me, somebody else kills you and I still get my stuff back.

I'm not sure, we run via gameservers an have access to the logs so if someone brings something to our attention with a time we can check it out. A name helps as well since it narrows the search down. As for multiplay they could have a different setup. Seems odd not to give access to the script logs to the owner/admin of a server.

The admin did what he should have. I've only had one incident of a hacker on the server i help admin since we got it up and running about 3 weeks back. My buddy got on while everyone else was not on yet. He was at our camp and he finished loading in to find someone looting the camp and opened fire, taking the guy down. He then noticed there was an mi-17 at camp which none of us had brought there and that a pbx was in the middle of our land locked camp. He kicked the guy and told the admin who deals with the script log to check it out before the guy logged back in. We immediately took down the server and checked logs and sure enough he was a hacker who we promptly banned. We then brought the server back up an the guy tried to login the next day quite a few times but was obviously unable. Granted, had we found no evidence he would have been free to rejoin the server. As an admin you have to follow your gut in that kind of situation but in a case like yours, it would be pretty obvious and I would have done the same in his position.

I've only run into one guy who was friendly and oddly enough he had a bandit skin on. Everyone else I've run into or that has seen me has shot on site. Most of the time it has lead to their death either by me or by someone in my group. I've even been shot when I stopped in the woods above cherno to eat. Some guy was camping them and as I started eating he put me down. I'd rather just not shoot but unless they say something to me I put them down if I see them and have the shot. Too many times of being shot when there was no reason for it. Although I don't shoot unarmed players unless they spook me which has only happened once. I was running through the quarry avoiding the zombies because they weren't worth the bullets and as I was passing what I took for a crawler I saw a pack and it spooked me so much I put enough into him to break his legs and wound him pretty badly. When I asked if he was friendly I got no response and I finished him off. When my buddy got to him to check the body he ended up being unarmed. I felt horrible after.
