I understand the support for other methods and the stable argument... Just think a lot of the apps/torrents muddy the water a little. It seems like the hackers get a bit more time to work on it before players get to play it. Now the Six team are brining out more software? That does the same thing? But lets them have the updates? So everyone will use that, if they are used to six software. So there is no point of the updater that doesnt have the latest version.

The new update is still not on Six Updater? Why the change in support?

Six updater does not work at the minute. You verify and update, but still get bad player name messages OR a warning message to update the game, that takes you to a link that when run... does nothing.

To be honest, Roket keeps saying he hopes it will be a stand alone game.. even now? Surly he has had that conversation witht he bosses and knows by now? I get the impression we should should just enjoy this game as a Mod, not an alpha/beta for an actual game. This is a great mod that I enjoy playing and will continue to. But thats all it is and that should be enough. Then when Arma3 is out, and it is ported over to that, then it will be a great Mod on that. I like all the craziness, it adds to it. Its frustrating as hell getting into a good game, but that makes it all the better once you are in it.

So I have been making my way from the coast to the north west airfield and have been through all the towns I can. I didnt find any items on the way up? nothing. Changed server later in the day and headed west, again nothing in any towns? not even empties? Whats going on?

Ah but I bought the game from Bohemia, so I would need to buy the expansions from them too. steam seems to require I have the game from them? OK, I think I get it, just need to buy the PMC pack.

So if I only have Combined Ops. the textures will be low? I can buy survivor and camo suits? They are part of PMC? Sorry for so many questions

In a lot of YouTube videos, the graphics look different / improved? Are the texture packs? or are these just different settings? I have a good graphics card (590) 16GB RAM, the game is installed on an SSD and I have a decent i5 processor. Should I just max everything? Or do you get better results with different settings? I have a second question about servers, is there a 'good' server lists? or recomended/promoted list? Thanks for any help

Thanks, Yeah I have a GTX590 and 8GB RAM and an i5 processor. When I walk up to the a tree and stair at it, the bark looks like oil moving? Not sure what the ideal setting should be, but I think everything is on veryhigh? Maybe I should lower that? I dont know much about the antialising and other options

It seems that all the textures are moving? Its like the liquid effect in photoshop... Is this normal?
