Polana, quietest supermarket town on the map

What's your opinion?

I like sidechat text, it's fun grabbing snatches of the craziness that's happening elsewhere and it can be a laugh if you're on a server with people with good patter.

All the configure files on vilayer have warnings about not editing files while the server is running. I'd imagine you'll need a restart at least.

If I drop, say, a winchester on the ground, what are the rules governing how long it stays there? I'm guessing till the next server restart at best but does anyone know for sure?

I'm coming to the opinion what it's not worth the hassle, time is better invested getting a vehicle to scout for heli crashes. For the OP, not really a route but i'll always try and include Polana in any venture north, i've always found good loot in the supermarket and nothing ever bad has happened when I've been there.

Beanz! With the forests being quite thinly spread out in most points there are far fewer decent hiding spots for vehicles that a glance at the map would suggest.

Anyone know what the score is?

Coolio, thought i'd check, ach while i'm here I may as well ask in case anyone knows the answer. My server is being moved to a new more ninja machine meaning i'll end up with a new IP, anyone know if I'll have to re-register with gotcha?

Broke my leg on the mountain between Cherno and Elektro, put a pile of pound coins on the 'W' key, pointed towards Elektro and went to make some lunch. Eventually, about an hour later, drag my ass to the outskirts of town, managed to witness and avoid a number of bandit firefights, make it to the hospital, try to crawl through the window but the transition into the hospital triggers my character to stand up aggro-ing a nearby zombie before I collapse to the ground again. Got eaten to death by the zombie with a morphine injector literally inches from my nose.

It'd work both ways, you could also scatter a couple round likely routes before looting a town to give you a chance of a warning.

Is there any word on whether the slightly glitchy access to tents will be fixed for the foundation release? Yours, the sad owner of an awesomely hidden tent packed with loot just outside Elektro that he can't get access to any more.

Be careful not to stare too long at Green Mountain lest Green Mountain stares back at you.

It be nice to be able to scavenge parts from other cars. If you locate 2 cars that have 2 damaged wheels each then you can take the healthy wheels from one car to put get the other one going. Basically if a part is green it can be removed: engine parts, fuel tanks, tyres etc.

Just a simple addition, have the game tell who killed you. Can't think of any reason why it shouldn't and it'd add an extra bit of drama to the proceedings.

Tried searching but can't find any info but that's been a couple of times where I've been injured to the point that my vision goes then eaten enough to get back to green blood indicator but my vision doesn't clear, need to logout and then back in again and it's fine. What's the script? Known issue or something I'm missing?

According to Commander i'm up-to-date, could it be the version on the server?

Yeah but they shouldn't make a difference to vision (other than preventing shaking).

people are going to shoot each other either way, i think the warm glow of the knowing you plugged the guy that got you before would add to the fun.

Crawl everywhere.

I'd just raided the supermarket in Polana and found a map, as I headed out the back door I brought it up to stick a marker down for an approach on Berezino. I heard a voice say "Hello, friendly?", i thought it was someone in global but put my map away just in case. Just as I did a shot hit me, I totally panicked and got behind cover, shouting for the guy to chill and that I was friendly. Got no response and I couldn't see anyone so I switched from plan A, hide to plan B, run away. Kept checking behind me for the next hour but never caught sight of the guy. Went back to check the fraps footage later and found out that I'd somehow managed to fire my own gun while putting the map away and then bolted in terror from my own shot. Bambitastic.
