    Is this admin really a god?

    That still would require a server restart to get the new fuel/damage values from the db, although if the admin is kicking people in helicopters for teleporting then he's going to have an empty server as it's very ropey at misdetecting people in flight.

    Zombie Avoidance 101: Crouch run if there is a bit of distance, crouch walk if they are close by, you'll hear an audible change in zombie noise when they've got their munch on. If you hear it start running for the nearest building with at least two entrances, enter one, exit the other and go back to crouch running. If you can, throw some zigzags round buildings and walls to break line of sight. If needs be, run out of town to lose the zeds and retry. Goto Start. Protip #1: Going up the tower on a fire station with a trail of zombies can't often lead to death but when you get to the top of the second flight of stairs if you look at the wall if will give you an option to climb ladder, select this and it'll glitch you onto the roof, there is a ladder to get you back down to the ground. Protip #2: The long, dark wooden cabins are death traps avoid like the plague.

    I had this problem with any pre-1.7.6 tents automatically restoring on restart, ended up just deleting them from the database

    SA: 'No advanced weapons'

    Meh, AS50's are overpowered in real life, you get hit in the foot with one and it's going to blow off a health portion of leg with it. The problem isn't the guns, it's that they have become far more common than they were intended to. Hopefully SA will put an end to that, the mod is already rarefying high level items although there will still be plenty in circulation squirrelled away.

    Custom skins now enabled Full moon nights: light levels still dependant on weather though Auto-refuelling option for helicopters cos life is too short to spend all evening running back and forth with jerry cans. Added live stats page to website Always looking for new players.

    Ghillies at distance

    It's a well known problem proning people stick out like a sore thumb when far away as grass only renders at a set distance. What about making them partially transparent the further you are away. Short of overcoming the hurdle of being able to render grass everywhere it seems to me like it might be a decent halfway solution. You wouldn't have to go overboard with it, maybe 50% transparency at extreme distance but it's kind of annoying that you'd be as well happy dancing as proning in the undergrowth for all the cover it provides.

    Not had a chance to view any Arma III stuff but I love flying choppers, are they less 'see-saw-y' than the Arma II ones?
  16. Had a player kicked out a heli for this, can't find any info on google, can anyone cast any light on this one for me. Is there a definitive list somewhere or a way of finding out what the script restrictions refer to?

    Yeah, I'd initially thought the server host kept them up to date but found out that I had to to that manually, so grabbed the files from https://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/source/browse/filters last night. Thinking about it the #210 might have been before I'd updated them. I'll keep an eye on things over the week.

    People need to untwist their panties then, who even notices? I hope the devs hold strong, every release is going to be accompanied by the howling and gnashing of teeth of the precious drama queens who live for the attention. It's worth bearing in mind that the emptiest vessels make the most noise. Reading through the forum it doesn't take long to figure out who is capable of constructive criticism and those whose idea of debate is a competition to see who can wear out their exclamation key the quickest. I'd say the best thing to do is ignore the chaff and trust the opinion of those that have shown that their opinion is worth trusting.

    Testing is for bed-wetters, real programmers get it right first time but include random unexpected 'features'.
  21. Decided to see how fast a huey could go and crashed into a tree at 358km/h resulting in only 2 wounds needing bandaged among the 5 passengers.

    Near the wee lake north of Stary (Prud?), Stanlisky(?) Island and the wee dam between Cherno and Elektro are where I've seen them.
