Here's my 2cents: - The speed of the current sprinter zombies is fine, we need some fast zombies that can't be outrun. - Make the sprinter zombies able to hit you every once in a while while you're sprinting, to make them a real threat - Have some slower moving TOUGH zombies. Maybe they could have body armor, and be soldier zombies, and require head shots to be taken out (or many many hits on the body). - If technically possible it would be nice if you could add A LOT MORE zombies. If not possible, make all zombies tougher. They're too easy now I think. Alternatively, all weapons and ammo in the game world should be more scarse.

Low zombie count/low loot across servers

Yup, zombie count is low (lower than 300) on all the servers I've been on (Euro servers). Often there's no loot either. -
Nice job with the idea for an alternative index page. The current one is a little dull.

I found out about Dayz while playing Arma2 on the 15th meu public server. Somebody was talking about how all the players had gone to play something with zombies. I thought, huh, might as well do a search on youtube. I then saw Killroys videos, and decided to download the mod.

Yeah, it would be fine if players didn't have morphine from the start. I've even thought about players starting with nothing at all, but that might be a little too hardcore for some.

Well, people want zombies apparently . I can already see other developers catching on to it and copying it: Fifa 2012 with zombies, Need for Speed: Zombie outrun etc. :D

Yeah, well put Wolfgang. There also seem to be different cultures on the servers, I've seen loads of coop going on between strangers on the euro servers.

Draw distance only 500m after 1.5.3?

I like the dynamic weather, it's great that it's sometimes foggy. Last night when I was playing it was raining, very atmospheric. But, there should also be clear days with good visibility. I usually play Arma2 with a view distance of 4000 - 6000 meters. It just looks so much better, and makes navigating easier. I'd say let client decide view distance, it's really a shame to cap the great gfx engine at 1000 meters or whatever it is. I don't think the sniping problem is a big deal at all, especially with the dynamic weather in place. -

One thing we could really use is the handsignals from ACE where they're actived with shift+numpad 0-9 (I think). -
More natural food sources, less tin cans, sleeping bags

Cool idea that you have to find a safe spot and a sleeping bag before you log out if you want to be sure you're character is ok next time you log in . Fishing and gathering of food in the wild - Yup, definitely. I also think weapons and loot in general should be more scarce. -

I hope direct communication gets fixed too soon. It's definitely holding back gameplay on the servers. -
Not directly linked to the pvp discussion, but one thing that could encourage team work, and make the game more realistic, is if there was a weight/fatigue system as in ACE. It should be more forgiving that ACE, allowing you to still carry a lot and run at lot, but it would make it necessary for people to split out their heavy gear among them.

Great to see this mod taking off in popularity, Rocket! :) Game purchase: Officially supported payware mod that requires Arma3. A single one time purchase. Studio developed with input from community, don't water it down ( I know you won't), keep it unique and hardcore. I don't know enough to have an opinion about server setup and kickstart, whatever works best. If a small monthly fee is necessary for server upkeep, then so be it. Put some serious manpower into this mod, and you'll attract gamers like flies to a corpse. :D
