sadsadsa I think the point isn't slow down kos. The game is about you making decisions. Implementing this mechanics, Rocket is adding consequences to kos (and we can't complaint about that, the concept is tottaly plausible). Considering that, we'll face a whole lot of different situations in a player x player encounter. This way we'll have a more powerfull and interesting experience playing this game. I think it's unfair to say "they achieved more in lesser time". We can't just ignore all the development made previously by the original team and the community devs on vanilla. Don't you think the Dayzero team took a huge foundation so they could "mod" and release their version?

My first contact to Dayz was this Sidestrafe's video. I think live commentary wise, there's no competition to him. As it was his first impressions, he plays too cautious and he is not focused on the PVP aspect of Dayz. His series probably attracted lots of players to Dayz (myself included).

I'm always struggling with indecision (thirst for action vs fear of being slayed). As I don't play bandit style, I found the answer establishing objectives that put me in danger zones (like doing a loot run in Berezino Hospital). Sometimes I help fresh spawns to fix a chopper, a car, the list is endless.

Razor stated they can spawn everywhere. Already found them in industrials (construction site), barracks, airfield control tower and once in a firestation. I think since 1.7.7.1 has to many loot piles people never check (because they are new), maybe theres lots of AB untouched everywhere. Maybe I'm wrong. They really are too rare. I never saw an infected take more than one headshot to die. Talking about regular public hive servers. -

I don't think the zombies are hard. They are glitched. That's why it's hard to kill them. I'm no programmer or anything and I don't know why the pathfinding needs to be like it will be in SA (the zombie notice you / goes to the place you were when he saw you / chase you - Dean and Matt stated this in some devblog feel months ago). Consider that and this recently information quoted: So, if the zombies behave in, lets say, normal speed, they probably wont glitch and will be very easy to kill (if the pathfinding stay as it was stated). If it's good or bad, we'll see in the alpha when we play it, but it will definitely change the way PVP is now. -

Well, this is a great topic. I've played some origins recently and the base building focus seems to be the key of the mod. I don't know if the origins fans will be thrilled by SA. I'm not sure if fighting deceases will be that big in SA, and I'm not sure either if I think it's good or bad for the game. As I stated before, I do like to be scared and feel like in "the walking dead" (if you get bitten, you are screwed). Maybe the worst problem in the high infection rate is the glitch zombies. If the zombies behave well (not glitched) in SA, we can have harshness whitout so much frustration. -
So? Can't see anything. The thing is, if they set a release date, we wont need to scavenge to know. We WILL know like SUPER FAST.

I think if you are not satisfied with the patch, you can play other mods, you can play on private custom servers, etc. Posting something like that in this forum just make you look like a whiner (no offense, please). If you think you can contribute with the dev team, you can join the testers on GB wireworld. I understand you don't like the patch, but you could be more sympathetic with the devs work. They do it for free and reading stuff like this every day will not motivate them to engage yout point of view. It's just my opinion though. -

That's the thing. It's not about being sneaky. It's about being killed if you get inside a city. Did you ever watched any zombie movie? The city should be a death trap.
