  1. I'm not saying it will be fully polished/bug free. As Rocket said before, it's about doing a strong foundation.
  2. And maybe... uhhh... a good game so we can play?

Another Quick Update 5 December 2013

Well, failure compared to what? You show me a game that delivers what DayZ deliver in a better way and THEN you can say DayZ is a complete failure.

I wonder why these sad, angry people still come here so frequently... Really, why?

Quick update for 4 December 2013

/offtopic Despite the fact that I do not post much in this forum, I'm here almost every day and looking around this thread, the only thing that occurs to me is: /backontopic So performance is almost there... I still believe in a 2013 release. :)

Quick update for 19 November 2013

Well, you have to keep in mind that the bugs and glitches will be there. It's Alpha.

    November Round-up

I agree the atack animation needs attention. I wonder if "every damage" means any damage (like shoes having damage for walking around).

    November Round-up

Maybe Rocket just had to choose between nice hordes vs nice individual zombies (considering performance limitations). If you ignore the problems with atack animations (probably fixable), i think it's not that bad. It's just like in "The Walking Dead", just one zombie it's kind of easy to kill.

    October Round-up: #DayZDaily

I don't believe cross-servers radios will be possible. To many people talking (thousands) would be a real mess...

    DayZero Thoughts

lol to that... :) Back on topic: As I see, it's not about proving something. Is it possible tweak the engine/codes/stuffidontunderstand? Clearly yes. So far, they seem to be doing something like that with awesome results. Is it legal/ethical/correct to do that (considering law and modding community ethics)? No it's not. When you say : It doesn't really matters who makes these rules. They still rules. And all the modders should follow the rules. BIS spent lots of money developing their engine, and they have the legal rights to establish the rules of what it can and what it can't be done in regards to modding their game. And we all know, they are one of the most modding friendly studio around. Despite you and me having an awesome gaming experience, it does not justify breaking the rules. Now IF (and that's a big if) Dayzero team did some ilegal modding and lock the files so it remains in secret, no one should defend them.
