  1. Day 1: I awoke on a beach, I was near some sort of industrial harbor. I wandered aimlessly, finishing off the last of my rations before running into a small pack of Zombies. They quickly hopped on my trail so I was forced to kill them. 2 clips left. I climbed up a crane to scope out the area and found a dead zombie, someone must have been near. I looked around and started to head down, as I climbed down the last ladder I met someone in strange bandit looking clothes. His name was Valkyrie, I began following him but we were jumped by zombies that strangely looked like survivors, it was only once they got too close that I learned otherwise. I lost a lot of blood. 1 clip left. I can barely see, I thought Valk ditched me and left but he soon emerged. He told me to eat to regain some energy but I had nothing. He told me to follow him to find something to help me. I had no other choice. We hurriedly wandered into the industrial complex, weaving around walls and fences, things went smoothly. We found a business building and began to rummage. I found a clip and some other ammo for guns I didnt have. They must be of some use later. Valk found a blood pack and administered it to me. Thank god I could see again. We continued up the building when Valk caught sight of some other survivors. They were not friendly. Valk ran out of ammo and I had 2 clips. I gave him one... That was the only spare clip I had. 3 bullets left. One of the bandits left themselves vulnerable and I managed to clip him, that was the last of my ammo. I lost sight of Valk. As I catch a glimpse of him lying on the ground a bullet comes shooting past my head and hits the wall behind me. We were being sniped from across the street. I shout out to Valk but he says nothing, I expect the worst. I throw myself down on the floor on the balcony on the other side of the window and Valk finally speaks up. We're caught in sniper fire and we don't have any ammo. I suggest we make a break for it, we cant die in that building... not after what we've survived through. Valk tells me to wait there, he's got a plan. I wait. Paranoid that every second will be the one that brings me my death. The bandit dies... Valk saved my ass. Again. I come running out from my hiding spot and up to the balcony, I spot him as a swarm overpowers him and knocks him down. Valk is dead. I gather myself... though hard, I have to keep going. I'm getting thirsty. I quietly wander across the street and silently rummage through the first bandits corpse. Awesome 4 clips... I make my way further into the industrial complex but not too far before I'm blocked by a fair cluster of zombies. I find some water but I know I shouldn't go further. I opt to try and find the second bandits corpse and loot Valk. I don't really want to desecrate his body but I need his supplies desperately. On my way to the site I accidentally alert a zombie, easy right? 3 more come and then another 2. 2 Bullets left. Back in the shitter, I have no way to protect myself, I need that bandits equipment. BADLY. Valk's body isn't there... Can't question it now. Up to the roof to find the bandit. Nothing's there. I can hear zombies swarming at the bottom of the building... Things aren't looking too good. I just book it. I have no other choice. I head to the forest and after way too long I manage to get rid of the pack. During the run I ended up picking up more stragglers, I was pretty sure it was over for me. I head to the nearest town so I can try to somehow scrounge together a weapon. No dice, the moment I set foot in that town a couple zombies have already sniffed me out. Bastards. My legs are burning, my lungs are dissolving... I'm thirsty as all hell. I try and climb this stupid radio tower thing in hopes that they can't climb... how naive of me. I manage to get my legs busted up when I try and get on the ladder as the zombies are pulling themselves over the edge. I manage to dose myself up with morphine before the zombies get back down the tower, no water though. After too long... much too long I manage to swill some water. I am now deep into the country side, I finally avoid the zombies again. I pick up a cross bow as I scavenge this town. I was again being chased the whole time. Clearly I stink like an OX. Again after much too long I turn around and see that I've lost all but 1 zombie, time to try out my sexy new crossbow. 1 shot 1 kill. Things are looking up for me. 1 Arrow left. I found a nice pond, drank till I couldn't drink any more and filled up my water jug. I am happy. I find myself at another town. This time I'm stink free and serious. I get into this cattle barn and find some ammo and food, a zombie finds me but I swiftly dispatch him with my crossbow. All out of arrows though. Another thats been walking around wanders in but doesn't notice me. I cant get to the other stuff I found. I decide to shoot it... The surrounding zombies shouldn't be able to know where I am in that barn so I SHOULD be safe. I kill it and gather the rest of the stuff. Things are looking up for me... Nope. I walk right into a zombie and he immediately alerts the rest of the town. I'm screwed. No ammo left. Running. Running. Once again I lose them... I am getting pretty good at this but all the while I'm assuming I'm dead... It's getting dark. Time to sleep. I hope I can move when I wake up. ~Murphy Beng

Murphy Beng knows how to prone but "prone" is a much more tactical word than what one would panicly write in a journal while on survival.

    Can't join any servers

Alright, after more research than I think I EVER should have made: I have this exact same issue, I bought Arma II and all that stuff only to have to waste my time doing this instead of enjoying a game. This forum posted on 2010 has all the same issues we have: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?109907-Resolved-OA-Server-version-1-55-Battleye-problems/page5 and on the page that I linked there is a link to this BattlEye page: http://www.battleye.com/download.html From what I understand, that updated BattlEye should fix everything. I don't know why they didn't patch that into the game or at least gave fair warning EVERYWHERE on their game and sites and everything that the issue is there and how to fix it. I cant test this fix yet because I'm busy downloading the expansion again (because I thought it was an install problem) but if it works I'll let you know. Hopefully this info can be put on a sticky or something to help people out.
