Hello, I "ordered" an instance ID some days ago. Now that I was approved I want to setup the server. Many people are talking about "further information given with a welcome-mail", but I did not get such thing. I did not even get a mail that my instance ID was approved. So here I am, no Idea on how to install and run the server. If I google my problem, I just find posts telling me to read the instructions given with the welcome mail or provided by the staff. The Staff never talked to me and they do not reply to my tickets (longest open ticket which I closed with no respond was about 1 week). Here's what I have: ArmA2 installed on dedicated server ArmA2OA installed on dedicated server server-files mentioned in the server_files.txt downloaded Mission-file downloaded and moved to "MPMissions" How do I move on now? How do I start the server? Other sites mention a start_server.bat or *.exe but the only server-*.exe I have is the arma2oaserver.exe and I don't now how to start DayZ with that. It's not that I am dumn or something ... I work as a application developer and stuff but ... if you never learn how to do stuff, how can you do it? As i said, I googled and googled and it's not that I ask after 2 mins ... yesterday I tried for 4 hours straight to get this thing running, asking google and stuff. So ... please :) If one of you has these mysterious "further instructions" ... could you please provide them to me? I would really appreciate some help :) Thanks in advance.

I know this thread is bit old but I just logged in and found out that my Instance ID was approved. No eMail or something like that to tell me that I got it ... Second ... there are no installation instructions. After 1 hour of google search I give up and ask in this forum. So ... here I am: I installed ArmA2 and ArmA2OA on my dedicated server. I installed Six Launcher and installed DayZ. I downloaded the server files fiven in the server_files.txt-file. What do I need to do now? Where do I have to extract the files? How do I start the DayZ-Server? Please ... RSVP ASAP :) Thx in advance!

Hello, I want to set up a own DayZ-Server. I was thinking about a Root Server with Windows Server 2008 SP2 and upgradable to Windows Server 2012. What I want, or better need to know is, if one can run the DayZ Server and ArmA 2 in particular on a Windows Server Edition. RSVP ASAP :)
