You posted this twice by the way. -
I can't find Battleye client version 1.85.
Mitunzz replied to zdwafa's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
If you're using steam... First go to the steam directory (Usually in Program Files (x86)) click steamapps > common > arma 2 operation arrowhead Then click Expansion > BattlEye and then run UninstallBE (.exe file) Once you've uninstalled BattlEye go back to your arma 2 operation arrowhead folder and click BEsetup Once you're in run Setup_BattlEyeARMA2OA (.exe file) Run a server again, and see what happens With my understanding of BattlEye it should automatically update your BattlEye up to v1.85 and tell you while you're in the lobby. If not... you might have some sort of firewall up stopping it, but that's too in depth for me. I hope I helped you here, if not I'm sure someone else has a solution. Also make sure you're running the latest ArmA II beta patch, and DayZ version that is set for the server. -
If you're using DayZCommander try delete @DayZ once again, and re-installing it through DayZCommander. Also try re-installing the beta patch through DayZCommander. Then run a server through DayZCommander, not through steam... because you might not have changed the properties in steam. If you would still like to run it through steam right click ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead (providing you've run ArmA II atleast once) and click properties. Then click set launch options... and put in -mod=@DayZ

Damn, it's taviana.

bad version, server rejected connection!?!?!
Mitunzz replied to alec167's topic in New Player Discussion
This server is running Namalsk and is currently running DayZ version 1.7.4.4 with ArmA II beta patch 99806 (Currently latest version, not on DayZcommander) go to http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php and download version 99806 once you have done so, providing you're using steam open the zipped folder and run ARMA2_OA_Build_99806.exe and install it. Once you have done so open your ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead folder in the steam directory (same area as where @DayZ is) open the folders in this order: Expansion > Beta once you see a file called arma2oa (.exe file) copy it, go back two times (till you get to the original ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead folder) and past it over the existing ArmA2OA (.exe file). Join the game again, voila. (I recommend using DayZ commander to save a lot of time, but considering it's not updated to the latest patch for ArmA, you have to do it the long way) I'm also unsure on why you're posting in the new player section, even though you have 370 posts. I believe this should be in tech support... I might be wrong though. -
Ahahhaha, so simple... yet so true.

What i've experianced in Day Z so far
Mitunzz replied to Mr. Charles (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
As I said in a recent post, this is a great social experiment to show the world what people would really do for survival. In this case it seems like they do it because they can, it's a rush to them, it makes them feel good. At the moment it's a very big part of the game. People like to eliminate competition, even if the competition has no defense or chance to survive a gunshot to the head. People classify this as no honor, but it cannot be stopped and there is nothing wrong with it according to 90% of the DayZ community, including me. This is a good observation, the fact that people who are fully geared have nothing to do can dictate whether or not they go and kill people merely because they're bored. It makes you think, would this REALLY happen in a real zombie apocalypse, or in this case... any sort of apocalypse. Will boredom ultimately cause us to kill if we're allowed to? My suggestion is to just meet some people on a community, like the one I am in, and team up with other people to give yourself a fighting chance... however, you might end up like them and start killing people with no gear simply because you're bored or want to eliminate easy competition. -
Once you find out the difference between main and private hive you can decide whether or not to report the server (If you were banned for no reason on a main hive server, you should report the server in the right section of the forums). This is most likely a private hive, if so... the administrator can do whatever he/she wants with you. However, as I said before, if this is a main hive and you were reported for no reason at all then you can report the server.
-
What is that meant to mean -.-
-
I can have one for free if you want...
-
Search a review on Google for it... it's hard to trust random reviews on it's performance.
-
I suggest using DayZCommander to install DayZ, you don't have to constantly go on the website and download the files then install it manually.
-
Uhh, it sounds good.. but against the survival theme of the game. You should expand on your suggestion, I don't really know what you're getting at.

Would you quit if servers went expert?
Mitunzz replied to bad_mojo (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I wouldn't quit either! -
Try to contact the UK333 administrator, possibly by visiting the website. I tried to join the server with the normal DayZ mod installed, it seems it might have extra addons, if so... this is a private hive so the staff and development team would not be concerned.

Kicked for low ping on multiple servers even though ping <10
Mitunzz replied to Brodicus's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Maybe the server doesn't allow anyone on with more than 1 ping? -
Bit of a mental idea: Resuscitation aka "revival"
Mitunzz replied to mbainrot's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I agree with this. As good as the idea is, it can very easily become unrealistic. -
You should uploaded pictures and a map, try to tempt people a little bit more.

You key was possibly stolen. However because you haven't downloaded anything this just seems to be some sort of bug with BattlEye. I haven't seen any solutions for this issue, but I'm sure if you searched hard enough or even tried to ask BattlEye themselves you could get an answer. Someone I was on the BB ts with actually had the same issue, but it was gone after a few hours, so just wait it out first and see what happens.

I was just browsing the forums and all of a sudden I smelt beans in the kitchen and thought of a simple idea that can be put into the game to make zombies more recognizable as creatures that are manipulated by their instincts. My idea was that zombies can not only hear and see.. but smell too. You're probably wondering of the mechanics that go into this, but it's as simple as showering to lower the risk of being smelt or the environment you're in, e.g. in the rain; because the rain is interfering by washing the sweat off your body therefore removing the smells (another small idea may include deodorant cans). So if you've been in high action situations you may sweat more, giving you a reason to shower. Or after you've been bleeding and bandaged yourself your blood will be stained in your clothes so you have to wash your clothes and skin to make sure that zombies can't smell your blood. Even if you're carrying a blood bag to help your friends it increases the risk that a zombie will smell it. I'm aware it's not a major game changers, but it could possibly be implemented later on in standalone or whatever. It's just another addition to the whole heap of suggestions, but I would love to hear feedback.

Exactly, don't post reports about private hives... now you understand?
